This was a real find. If I could rate 10 stars they would get 12! One of the best dining experiences for Vietnamese food ever. No joke. The wife and I stopped for gas and were looking for a place to eat before getting back on I-35. I'm using google maps and Pho Viet came up and was just a few minutes off the highway. We both like pho and this seemed like an easy choice. We had no idea we were in for such a treat. Just walking in we could smell the mix of spices; so tantalizing it made our mouths water. As we walked by some of the tables we saw delicious looking plates of noodles, vegetables and meat. Of course, we saw big bowls of pho. We started off with fried calamari that was cooked perfectly and served with caramelized onions. They were absolutely delicious. But that was just a preview of the main course. I had the Spicy Hue Pho, it said special. And it was special. Specially delicious! Just the right mix of heat too. Several different meats with noodles and vegetables in super tasty broth. Yum.The wife had grilled pork and vermicelli bowl. This was a beautiful presentation and was delicious as well. We left with full bellies and smiles on our faces. Will return next time we are in the area, or maybe make a special trip, it is worth the 45 minute drive. If you like Vietnamese cuisine and particularly like Pho, this place will...
Read moreReally disappointed in the service. I was looking forward to their vermicelli and I love their veggie spring rolls with the crunchy wonton in it, but was unable to because the waitress completely ignored me. She came to take our order, I ordered first, then my boyfriend, then I ordered the spring rolls. The lady comes out with eggs rolls and I inform her that’s not what I ordered. She told me that yes, I ordered the egg rolls and not the spring rolls. Instead of her possibly making a mistake, she told me I was wrong about what I ordered. She then brings my boyfriend his soup, then the spring rolls. Shortly after, she brings my boyfriends entree. I thought it was weird she wouldn’t bring the entrees out together, so I waited. I waited 10-15 minutes until I asked where my vermicelli was. She told me I didn’t order vermicelli. Again, instead of admitting to a mistake, she told me I was wrong. I’ve liked this restaurant in the past for takeout. But I will not dine in at an establishment where the waitress gaslights the customers. So all I ate for dinner was 2 spring rolls. So disappointed I was...
Read moreOnly foreigners who are not Vietnamese would enjoy this. They couldn’t tell the difference between frozen catfish and frozen beef from a traditional Vietnamese cuizine. We had stomach aches... beefs were soaked in hoisin sauce and catfish was deep fried like chicken nuggets... food was sweet enough to give you diabetes... the owner and the chef spoke Vietnamese but the guy who took orders “looked Vietnamese” but said “sorry I don’t understand Vietnamese” for cultural reference, this place is a joke to Vietnam’s cuizine. Couldn’t even cancle my buttery chicken to go order once I realized how terrible the food was... then before I left I I opened the togo... super fried dark chicken soaked in hoisin sauce again... I left the food at the table the way it was. Just to show how much of a disgrace these Dishes were... vietnames cuisine... ramen noodle cup tasted more Vietnamese cuisine than this place. They saw me left the table food the way it is.. barely untouched and eve left the Togo chicken on the table. Never bother to ask me how the food taste... lol I could do better...
