Scott and JoAnn built us of beautiful walnut table on a curly maple base. With 3 young children in the house, it serves us perfectly for both rough daily use and showing out for formal times.

Scott's attention to wood quality combined with his keen eye for design and JoAnns thoroughness in finishing really sets their work apart. We loved the wood selection process in our building, and much time and patience was giving us in finding the perfect slab and base wood. Their inventory is huge and deciding between our favorite material was a tough choice.

One final note, our table 'sits' huge. Even though it's slightly smaller than our previous table, there is tons more space. I believe it's due to the base design and the natural contours of the slab. 6 adults with kids squeezed fits with room to space. Incredible!

Can not begin to tell ya how helpful and awesome the crew at Live Edge Artisan is! I’ve been looking vigorously for a live wood selection that would take care of some ideas that I had for my new project at the house for a few months now and so glad I finally found a place that was passionate about there work and had a selection that was absolutely mind blowing. Scott and Joann provide outstanding service are are very helpful in the selection of just the right slabs. I am an amateur/hobbyist woodworker and their selection of different species is the best quantity and quality I have ever seen (I have been to most of the sources of live edge slabs in Detroit area). Scott was very helpful with his knowledge on different species and advice on how to complete the project. JoAnn spent a considerable time with my daughter's family understanding their likes and picking a very unique large walnut slab to be used on their dinning room table.
