NOT FOR KIDS. Iāve been going myself since November, started taking my son a few months later and will never be returning again. Swore it was kid friendly until it really wasnāt.
The service was great, the environment and language focused on race and cursing with no concern for children is beyond ridiculous. And trust me, Iāve worked and played in professional sports so I understand ālocker roomā talk or ābeing like a familyā but itās a business, not a locker room or family cookout.
Even after the gentleman who couldnāt control his mouth after several warnings was forced to leave, several other barbers in the shop proceeded to give me a hard time, defending the racial slur guy while all walking aggressively towards myself and where my son was sitting. One even made a smart remark in the direction of my son about YouTubeā¦which my son responded āI donāt watch that.ā
Upon leaving and safely returning to my car, one of the same gentleman followed me out to the car trying to antagonize more. We will not be returning and itās a shame for the good barbers in there to lose business this way.
*the gentleman who followed me out was being told racist jokes about his skin color and when I said it bothered me that my son was being subjected to this, he became mad at me, which I can only assume was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe location is perfect, to start. I live in Philly and itās quick and easy for me to get here and if you live in Jersey, itās at a pretty central location. Thatās clutch.
The barbers are all dope and skilled. Itās a family atmosphere, as you can see in the photo, which is a plus. Barbershops have this bad stigma itās just for men and āman talkā and although they have that at moments, they keep everything pretty PG. They always have music and a movie on, which are always censored, adding to the welcoming vibe. Also, allows you to be entertained as you wait.
The space is dope. Cool flooring, door color walls that are cool and calming, sort of adds to the experience of getting a cut, and the wood paneling underneath the countertops at the barber stations are eye catching.
They make it easy to pay with Cash, Cash App or Venmo.
If you have a current barber, you not digging, slide through. My barber is Johnny, but all are talented, as previously mentioned. And if you donāt have a barber, slide through. You wonāt regret it. Plus they donāt just cut, they can style all types of hair.
Hope to catch...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent to this barbershop many times with great service. They have new inexperienced barbers mixed in with some experienced ones. I booked with one new barber to give them a try again. Barber (Enrique) scheduled me for 2pm. I get there on time he leaves for lunch 5 mins before 2. Strike 1. Then he comes late cuts my 5 yr old- messed up his hair. Then my older son is getting his hair combed out and this fool was rough. He had no insight to what he was doing and did not care to listen when corrected. All I can say is itās one thing to be bad at cutting or even combing but to get an attitude when you are not even proficient blows my mind. Needless to say an experienced barber fixed both their hair and this was my second interaction with Enrique. The previous time Rico (experienced) had to fix this new guys mistakes. I am all for giving a fair shot but this guy should stick to...
