I should have read the reviews firstā¦
Lukewarm garbage is what I would describe the food and experience here as. Ready to feel my pain? Read on.
I used to love Boston Market, in fact I would go there generally once a week, almost every week, for years. It was probably my favorite fast casual place until it closed by me. Nowhere else could I get a meatloaf or chicken rotisserie meal in 2 mins flat and it taste good to boot. So I figured Iām in town, lemme go there.
Those days are long gone. Most have been declining in recent years , but this one is the ghost of Boston Market future, or maybe present. Not sure what the rest are like, but this restaurant has stage 4 cancer.
First, they had a sign on the outside saying āweāre openā, I thought that was odd, why did they have to broadcast that? Itās clear to me now that itās because NO-ONE goes there anymore, for good reason!
First, I thought I was hot because I was next to the serving bar, no⦠they just donāt have AC, itās 88 degrees and humid outside right now.
Next, the soda machine is broken, normally not a big deal , I got a can of coke, but actually the fountain coke was one of the draws of Boston market, like McDonaldās who I believe owned them at one point, they always had the perfect mix of carbonation and syrup in their coke. Look it up, true story, McDonalds is more strict about their coke mix than anything else.
I was concerned that the lack of patrons would mean the food wasnāt fresh, I was right. But not only was it not fresh, it tasted terrible.
I got meatloaf (which Iām worried now might make me sick), Mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes. Boston Markets mashed used to taste like KFC mashed and gravy which is one of the tastiest you can get that isnāt homemade. Now it tastes like cardboard mixed with water. No amount of salt and pepper would fix it! The Mac tasted , just awful, I donāt really know how else to describe it. Oh and my meal was $17, $17!!! For probably the worst meal Iāve had in years.
So while Iām sitting there sweating , choking down this lukewarm garbage, I notice that the place is just filthy. The floor was sticky , I did notice that at first, but a lot of fast food floors are like that. But the walls and windows are covered in spider webs and dirt on the ledges that been there for years probably. The tables are gross. And did I mention no AC? I guess this place has fallen off to the point that the corner chair of my table (near the wall corner) had webs all over it like itās close to being consumed completely. I would bet no one has sat in that chair for at least a year.
So now, Iām in my car blasting the AC because not only am I hot from sitting in the restaurant with no AC, but my body is also working overtime to get this poison out of my system before I die, I think.
Boston Market should be ashamed that they allow this. What a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI LOVE Boston Market. This is my first and last time going to this location. I got the meatloaf (WHICH IS WHAT I USUALLY GET) with mashed potatoes corn and macaroni and cheese. The sides were nasty and cold cornbread delicious as usual but my meatloaf tasted like the frozen Salisbury steak packs you get from the frozen isle (SMH). My wife got the half a chicken with mashed potatoes macaroni and cheese and the mixed vegetables. Her order was terrible need to throw it out I know $30 isn't a lot of money but the same we couldn't even eat our meals The service was terrible there were four other people to place orders behind me and the girl who was supposed to take our order was bluntly ignoring us so much so that the gentleman and the back who serves the meat said something to her and began taking our order two thumbs up to you guy. When the gentleman said something to the young lady about us waiting she said oh well very rude very ignorant then while taking our order she asked us to repeat ourselves after every scoop she put in her plate of a different serving that was the worst service ever. This is the worst Boston market I've ever been to in My Life it is so bad it's not even be called a Boston market I love Boston market so much but this place is terrible somebody needs to teach the workers what to do retrain the ones you have and if you can't be retrained get rid of them and get new ones also it was very dirty unorganized the serving station was disgusting that was the first thing we noticed the first thing I said so much so where I almost didn't want to eat there my wife said they probably were just a little busy didn't get a chance to clean up yet but makes no sense everybody was standing around the lady was ignoring me don't even get me started on...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOh nooooooo!!! I used to come to this location all the time (years ago) and I loved it! My go to was the 1/2 rotisserie chicken (white meat) creamed spinach and sweet potato casserole.
Sadly, I returned and whoa have things changed! The feeling you get when walking in feels like stepping your foot into a morgue.
Years ago, I used to walk in and the smell of all the delishishness would be floating around, I would gaze ti the front and all the sides were abundantly full in their pans, appearing so fresh, and the back was full of rotisserie chickens spinning.
This experience was the complete opposite. The first row of sides was non-existent, there were limited options, and the tastes were waaayyyyyyy off (not in a good way). There were NO chickens rotissering on skewers and there were like 3 rotisserie chickens (if that) tucked away in a warming oven. The skin used to be seasoned to perfection and nice and crispy. This time, I had to peel it off and put it to the side because it was unflavored and soggyish. The meat was bland and dry.
A beverage machine was out of order and the doorknob to the ladies bathroom was completely off, so the hole was stuffed with paper towels.
While discussing the disbelief with my parents, my mother mentioned they are going out of business, so I guess til they do, it's Ya Get What Ya Get...Ya Get What We Have....Ya Get Whats...
