MARVA Workshop, Inc. - Resale Store — Local services in Russellville

Recently went into the store and was looking at used earrings for a craft project. The earrings were old and crusty and nothing I would ever put in my ears. They wanted 2.50 for them and I asked if they would consider lowering the price since Walmart had new and unused earrings at that price and they refused. Several items in the store were outrageously priced in my opinion. They claim to give jobs to the developmentally disabled but they won’t even pay them minimum wage. Why are items so expensive but you can’t pay minimum wage? Maybe directors should take a pay cut so that you can at least pay them minimum wage!

I’ve donated thousands of dollars worth of items over the last few years but I won’t donate anymore. I feel like Marva is becoming greedy with money on items that they don’t even pay for. Please consider...

Was by today dropping so items to donate and some recyclables. The employees came out and picked over what they wanted and left the rest which was not a problem. I had quite a bit of cardboard for recycling and was told it was further down. The employees returned to the store. I pulled down to some bins and started to unload when an assistant store manager came out and explained that the cardboard was around the corner (after we had unloaded over half of it). I was told this very rudely about four times. He then said it was ok and I asked if there was anything else. I was told I didn’t need to argue. I will not donate or purchase from this place nor...

Clothes were a bit pricey for older Walmart clothes and based on prices of everything else in there. I really hated that they ruined some valuables by using a black sharpie to write prices on things! I know nail polish and a Qtip and wiping it off as you go can fix a few things but some may not come off. Please use a scotch tape or something that’s easy to peel off to write your prices….

Excited that they opened up the back room for more items since I had been there last! It’s always fun to look around and see what’s there. The furniture and nick knacks are probably the best part...
