The Parker is a lovely place to live. It is centrally located in Rutherford, in the middle of excellent restaurants, local shops, and businesses like a beautiful Pilates studio and many salons. The building is well-kept and stylish, and the building is cleaned daily or near-daily. There are some really nice amenities in this building and the sister building next door that residents have access to like two gyms, different common / working areas, and a nice outdoor patio with BBQs for when the weather is warm enough to enjoy it. There is also a parking garage and I particularly love the package concierge, similar to Amazon lockers, where delivery services leave your packages for extra security.
The location is also ideal for commuting to NYC, which I do. It's a few minute walk to the bus to Port Authority or to the train to Penn Station via Secaucus. It's also a short drive (which means it's a short ride home at the end of a late night in the city!). It's easy to get to the major area highways (routes 17, 3, 21, 80, and the turnpike and parkway) and about an hour to the Jersey Shore for day trips to the beach. It's also 5 minutes to MetLife Stadium and the American Dream Mall.
My unit is a spacious one-bedroom with new appliances (washer/dryer, dishwasher, ice machine in freezer) and a modern look with things like the plank floors and big windows. Mayron and Sydney are fantastic (super and building manager, respectively), and if anything is ever needed, they are fast to help. The building is generally quiet and it's a really nice place to be. I always get so many nice compliments on the building when...
Read moreFrom the moment I stepped into this apartment building, I knew I had found something special. Nestled in the bustling heart of downtown, just a few blocks from the train station, its location couldn't be more convenient. The building itself is a modern marvel – spacious, with an air of contemporary elegance that is maintained impeccably.
One of the standout features of this place is its dual fitness centers. Whether you're an early riser looking to get in a quick workout before work or someone who enjoys a late-night exercise session, these well-equipped gyms cater to all lifestyles. But the perks don't stop there. The building boasts multiple common areas, each offering a variety of activities. These spaces are perfect for socializing with neighbors or just spending some leisure time.
Speaking of neighbors, the tenants here are among the friendliest I've met. There's a genuine sense of community that makes living here feel like being part of a big, welcoming family.
While I haven't had extensive interactions with the staff members Tara, Sydney, and Mayron, their presence contributes positively to the overall experience. Their professionalism and friendliness are evident, adding to the building's warm and inviting atmosphere.
In conclusion, if you're looking for a modern, spacious apartment in a prime downtown location, with great amenities and a friendly community vibe, this is the place for you. It's not just an apartment; it's...

The walls and floors are paper thin. We would hear every step from the unit above us and we received multiple noise complaints from the unit below us for the same issue (in our case it was due to a 25lb toddler walking in apartment before 8am). They market 'luxury plank flooring', but we found out after the lease was signed that it must be 80% covered by carpet. We also also filed multiple complaints about noise coming from the unit next to us. Management's solution was to bring in an 'acoustic engineer' after about the 10th complaint without consulting us on the scheduling. They forced us to leave the unit for 90 minutes during a time that I was working from home and what would have been our daughter's nap time. Ultimately no improvements were made and the walls remained thin for the duration of the lease.
Way too expensive for the location. They are charging close to jersey city/hoboken rent with far less amenities, no outdoor space and a much longer commute to the city.
I found out firsthand that many Rutherford residents resent the parker and it's presence on Park Ave moreso now as they continue to expand. I felt embarrassed saying I lived ther after several of these...
