We dined here for lunch with our family friends (sunday). The restaurant was pretty empty, maybe 4-5 tables other than us. First of all, as soo n as we walked in, the waitress had an attitude like she was having a bad day. I tried to just let go and enjoy our meal. No smile no welcoming no nothing on her facial expression as if we did something wrong? I wish I had her name but she has a thick accent and wears black framed glasses. She’s always there whenever we dine in. There was a strand of hair in our appetizer so I let the other server know and I saw her looking over at our table so she heard our conversation. She just looks away and does not care. We said just forget it. Didn’t want to make a fuss and ruin our meal. She doesn’t even come over once to refill our water or if there’s anything we need during our meal. She stared at us sometimes from the back but whenever we made an eye contact she would just look away or look at her phone. I mean it’s not like we expect too much but just treat us like we are your customers. We’ve always had great experiences at Song E Napule before but today was the complete opposite. We are locals and really want to support the business but I guess they don’t need our local support anymore. Very very disappointed. As we were walking out she was standing right by the door but just stared at us leaving, not saying a word. I really hope that the customer service here will improve because we really would like to continue to love this place...
Read moreVery disappointing experience here. Took over 15 minutes for our order to be taken. Ordered 1 appetizer and 4 pizzas. Watched as 3 tables who sat after us got pizza rather quickly, within 15-20 minutes. Ate our appetizer, which was good, and time kept ticking by. When my husband asked the waiter the first time when we might expect our pizza, he said they were in the oven. Watched several more tables seated after us get served pizza. Waited 15 minutes and asked again. Manager mumbled something unintelligible and left! My husband stood up and saw pizza chef was just making our order. Waited ten more minutes and asked again. At this point we were seated for over an hour and 20 minutes. We were brought a consolation dessert (nothing like dessert before dinner!) Then one pizza came, soggy and undercooked. My husband inquired about the 3 other missing pies and we were told our pizza order had been in a long line. Yep, a long line of people who ordered well AFTER us. Two more undercooked pies arrived at our table with no apology or explanation. When we asked what had happened we got a curt, "well you're getting your dinner on the house." An awkward reply for a really crappy situation. No apology. No complete order. Absolutely not worth the wait or the very mismanaged way this was all handled. Read moreI was recommended to come here by friends and family. I made a reservation for a Saturday at 8:30. When I arrived from my reservation I was immediately seated, but in the middle of the restaurant where people were constantly bumping into the table. It took about 15 minutes before someone we would even come to pour water and bring bread. At that moment we noticed the ceiling was leaking water and it was dripping directly on my table. We let the staff know and all they did was move the table further into the line of traffic where people were now banging into us and the table. The food tasted well in the moment. I got the Prime Rib, and my friend got the Margherita pizza, with Calamari as the appetizer. For the leaky ceiling they brought us tiramisu. After leaving the restaurant, me and my friend both got sick and food poisoning. It got to the point we had to go to the emergency room as we couldn’t stop vomiting. For everything we got, it definitely was not worth the price nor the hospital visit. The inside and decor was nice. But in my opinion there are nicer Italian restaurants, less expensive, and that do not cause food poisoning. Definitely never coming back and recommend you spend half the money at another location with better service...
