I moved from Chesterfield about 8 months ago and let me tell you I have never been so disappointed in an area in my life. People are so much less friendly and this Walmart is full of them! I have been buying my typical beauty/cosmetics since I moved over here. About a month ago, they have installed new locked casings around half the products I buy. Now, I understand a little inconvenience of asking someone to unlock something to deter shoplifting. However, almost everything I need is locked and there are no helpful employees to be found. I spent 30 minutes last time walking around looking for someone, finally another customer was waiting with me. At this point I had found 2 employees that would “call for help” but could not help me directly. I went to the customer service desk and both women here were in a conversation I felt like I was interrupting. They essentially had an attitude of well we called the girl who’s supposed to do it I don’t know what you want me to do. Fortunately, the girl happened to walk up, but she wasn’t any nicer. She said she would meet me over there, where the other customer and I waited another FIFTEEN minutes, then she came slugging over. I kept asking the other customer if I was overreacting, but she was also, mind blown. If you are going to lock everything up can we at least staff the area properly. I get it’s Walmart but come on. Lastly, what had prompted this review, was I thought I had come up with an alternative plan to driving 15 minutes to a further Walmart. I placed a pickup order and included a bunch of these items. They were all marked out of stock, in which I decided to go in because they are never out of stock, and no they were not. Of course, even the employee who worked there knew better than to try to get something unlocked. Before all of this the people in there were not nice. But I am thoroughly disappointed in the customer service and will be shopping somewhere...
Read moreI tried to reach 2 managers about an employee Mary, attending self checkout. I left my purse in my car and had my boyfriend run to grab it while I stayed at the register. She came up and stood directly behind me, sighing loudly. I told her the situation and her response was "yeah sure" as she continued to stand behind me at an uncomfortable close distance. I turned to her and offered her to hold my cart if that's what she was worried about. She then said no I'm right where I need to be and then said "I must be mentally ill" She then continued with her attitude sighs. I turned to her and said I have no reason to steal. And she was just like "yeah ok" I felt stalked, harassed, and extremely uncomfortable. I then gave up my cart, handing it off to her no longer wanting to purchase it as soon as my boyfriend came up with my purse. I then attempted, with another employee to gain the attention of 2 managers that were too busy to assist me at the time. This happened Saturday September 20th...
Read moreFor the most part, this Walmart provided a better experience than some of their locations. There were mo stocking issues, and the e Way they worked in natural light in the food area made the experience pleasant. Its something I didn't even know I wanted.
On the other hand, their auto department was lackluster this time around, and their parking lot cart collectors were a genuine hazard (see picture).
Overall, though, I've had much worse...
