on Saturday Jan 26, 2019 I went to a nail salon that I go to only once in awhile with my daughter. Any time I go to a nail salon I let whoever is going to do my nails that my nail beds are extremely sensitive and the little drill they use, if not used gently will hurt me. I sat down and a gentleman by the name of Howie was going to do my nails, I started to explain to him about my nails and he looked at me and said "I'm a professional and I know what I'm doing!" I said "ok." Low and behold he started with the drill on my nails and he was hurting me, I pulled my hand away several times and he said " I can't work on your nails if you don't stay still," to which I answered "I told you my nail beds are very sensitive, can you please use a smaller drill head or just please don't press so hard" his answer was I work on every body's nails and I know what I'm doing, I can't change the drill head this is how I work and anyway one of your nails is lifting." "I looked at him and said, everyone has different needs, I'm usually accommodated when I explain my problem. He proceeded to drag on with the I can't do your nails if you move too much. At this point I was in tears, he made me feel humiliated, discriminated and just very uncomfortable. I told him, please don't touch my nails anymore just let me soak them off and I want someone else to attend to me. He brought me over the bowls for me to soak my nails and as I sat there for about three minutes with hands in the dish I lifted my hands out and I said to myself I didn't come here to take these nails off, I came here to get a fill and another color. At this point he came over to look at my nails and I told him I'm not soaking them off I'm going to get done what I came here for. The lady that was doing my daughter's nails behind me told my daughter that she would do my nails. The whole time I'm just crying, the man didn't even apologize. The tech Lauren was able to do my nails and she just kept looking at me and saying just forgive him today. I take care of you, don't cry anymore. I must've cried the whole time I was there. When I was ready to leave I asked the gentleman at the register for the other guys name and he told me it was "Howie," then he asked why do you need his name and I just said for his review, because he obviously needs customer service 101 training. The gentleman at the register looked at me and said don't do that you're going to give us a bad name, how do you think that makes me feel t which I told him "how do you think I feel, I've been here two hours and I'm still crying over how he made me feel. Then I left. every time I think about it, it bothers me. I've never had an issue at any nail salon for my nail sensitivity. You would figure with everything I was put through and how this man made me feel the very least they could've done was told me "for your inconvenience this service is on the house," but all I got was don't give us a bad review it's not good for the shop! The sad part is I still think about it and it really upsets me. Business owners should always try to accommodate their clients especially if they were treated wrong by a rude and arrogant employee. Their time management is horrible as well, I've been there twice with an appointment for a mani/pedi and twice I've been there over three hours, which is...
Read moreBig mistake. I wasnt planning on reviewing this experience however I’m annoyed. I very rarely get my nails done and decided to treat myself for my birthday to a basic pedicure and also powder nails on my natural nails. I thought to give this place a try after seeing some positive google reviews however I should have checked and trusted yelp instead.
Prior to my pedicure the lady kept asking me if I wanted gel on my toes but I didnt care for it and told her numerous times I just wanted the basic one which was written is $28. She then told me she wanted to eat lunch before she started to which I thought sure I understand and waited for her to eat before starting on me. Once she came back she proceeded to complete an EXTRA basic messy paint job which AGAIN I let it go and didn’t complain. She then walked me over to get my nails done by a male who I’m assuming was the manager.
I was hoping that at-least the nails would be a better experience however once he started working on me another customer walked in who seemed to have an appointment. He told her to give him 10 minutes. I may rarely get my nails done nowadays but I’ve still never had powder completed in 10 minutes… he then proceeded to give me the roughest nail experience I’ve ever had. I was literally in pain the whole time but pushed through cause I just wanted it to be finished. He went so fast he snipped the side of my nail causing it to bleed but I held back and STILL didnt say anything even thought I knew it’s cause he’s rushing. I then noticed one of my nails was slanted and not even, I asked if he could file it to make it even. He took the file and barely filed it and asked if it’s okay without even looking himself. I saw it was still uneven and decided I’ll just let him finish since he clearly wants to attend to his other appointment.
Once we were finished I just wanted to leave and paid the amount of $73 which now that I’m thinking of it doesnt add up to what the pricing should have been, i even tipped on top of it telling myself to not get frustrated. But here I am writing this review at 4:30am because ever since I left the salon my nails have been in ABSOLUTE pain. He clearly filed my natural nail bed way too much and left my nails so sore and in pain. NOW I’m frustrated because I waited for HIS staff to take their lunch while I waited patiently because I didnt want to rush her. However that delayed the extra time that could have been spent being gentler on my nails but instead he rushed the experience causing them to lose a customer. I understand you may have a customer that has an appointment but that doesn’t make it okay to rush the customer that you are working on at the moment, both are paying for your service and both should have been completed properly. Safe to say I will never return.
The only other salon I’ve been to around here is Sassy Nails and I should have just went there again instead of giving this business a chance....
Read moreOn Sunday 01/23/2022 afternoon I came across this nail salon while looking last minute for one that accepted walk-in. It was my first time so I decided to give it a try because of the overall rating. As I told three people there from the one that greeted me, to the one that took my temperature and to the technician, I wanted it to remove the acrylic that I had on top of my own nail since 12/21/2021 and, do gel while I had the time to go to my PROFESSIONAL nail technician. The last photo, which I took over I week before, gives you an idea of what I walked in with. Let me start by saying that I don’t think you need to be a licensed technician to have a basic knowledge on how to properly remove the material. That being said, when I sat down she started filling with manual machine to remove the gel I had on top of the acrylic however, she stopped there. She pulled from her drawer a remaining piece of a tip (those that they glue when yours are too short) and then proceeded to force the sharp edge of into mine. She was ripping the acrylic of my nails! She didn’t asked if I want it to keep the same long or cut them. She didn’t even used a proper nail clipper. No! She ripped them and in the process damaged my own, leaving them extremely short, weak, thin and even ripping skin along the process. When done with the torture, she supposedly file the top and bottom and supposedly cute the cuticle. It was the most painful and longest 35 minutes. I didn’t want it to continue so I proceed to inform her that I had to go cause I didn’t want it to be rude and was to shock and hot to even say something. Told her that I wanted it to pay so I could leave. I was charged $28.00, for something I could’ve done better at home, $28.00! Meanwhile, I’m here having to work on a computer all day with hurting fingers. Go see my first and second photos so you can see the end result. Apologies for the lost post but I’m trying to avoid more people going thru what I just experienced. Cause hello, we all have had bad experiences at a nail salon but, I can assure you this has been the...
