I’ve been in the Huntsman games for many years now and unfortunately, the prices keep going up. It’s unfortunate that I have to pay for opening ceremonies and other event events that I don’t attend. It’d be a lot more feasible for me to shoot in two events if I just had to pay the entry fee and a small fee for the T-shirt and etc.. To shoot one event in Huntsman cost me $200. That’s too expensive for a seniors that are on fixed income. Having said that I enjoy it and I enjoy meeting other seniors. In the past, I’ve participated in two events, but now have narrowed it down to one because of cost and the other event takes 5 to 6 hours to complete when it should only be a four hour event.

I attended these world senior games in 2019. Had heard about the Huntsman from some local softball players and wanted to get down to St George UT and compete. I took a silver in Target archery, the highlight of my entire year. They are very organized, and they really know logistics. Everything from registration to the evening social was excellent. And St. George is beautiful in October, the people there are friendly and accommodating as well. Better sign up and go!

I wish I'd known of the Huntsman World Senior Games when I was 50 instead of 60. There is nothing better. There are only two archery events I put on the same level as this event...The Vegas Shoot & The National Senior Games.

I participated in both events of archery last year for the first time. I took up the sport 3 years ago and it was exciting to be part of an international event for my newby career in a new sport for me. the experience was wonderful, and I met neat people, some of whom I still communicate with every once in a while. when the new registration for this year was opened, I signed up right away in February and booked my hotel and plane fare. now I am on pins and needles wondering how its going to work out July 31. even if the games are held, I am concerned if the flights will be on or not, if the border is open, if I have to quarantine for 2 weeks when I get back home, etc. etc. will wait and see. anyways, the experience was great, people awesome, food wonderful and I can't say enough good things about the whole experience which is why i am hoping to go again without issues. thanks for letting us...

UPDATE - I AM SO GLAD I DID THIS AND ADDED MY DADS PICS.. HE DIED 12/2020 OF COVID AND I AM STILL IN SHOCK HE WAS THE HEALTHIEST PERSON I KNOW. THANK YOU HUNTSMAN FOR MAKING YOUR GAMES A HUGE PART OF HIS LIFE. I ASKED MY MOM FOR ALL OF HIS SOFTWARE TROPHIES - PLAQUES RINGS AND WALL OF PRIDE. RIP James aka Jim Turner Jr.

Well I think this is probably the highlight of St George Utah. I know it's what brought my parents here to move eventually. Where else in the world can you go to watch seniors still competing and exercising like they were kids and an entire city celebrating it for them and support

When I went to the opening ceremonies this year I literally was in tears watching the flag ceremony and all of the competitors walk on and off the field. My father and his best friend have been competing in the world senior men's softball games for years and they always come home...

In my Tenth year, I had a typical great experience. I do need your assistance to get some more Seniors to the Games. I am a United States Naval Academy grad and served for 30 years. I know a number of Senior athletes that live east of the Mississippi River, who would love to compete. I personally would like to put together a couple softball teams to represent the Academy and perhaps the Military and Air Force Academies, as well. I need a couple things, which I am sure you must have. (1) a few brochures to send to all three academies about the Games and (2) a video that could be placed on our monthly Wavetops, as well as other the Academy Web Site. Keep up the great work, and I will see if we can get a few more teams...
