I was really excited to try The Breakfast Place, especially since they have a Mexican-American menu with authentic traditional dishes alongside fun specialty pancakes. The food itself did not disappoint — my coffee “Cafe de ola” was delicious with just the right touch of cinnamon and brown sugar, and both the omelets and pancakes were flavorful and well-prepared.

Unfortunately, the service experience left me pretty frustrated. The restaurant was very busy, which we totally understood, and we were willing to wait. But once seated, things felt very disorganized. Multiple servers came by asking if we had already ordered, and it took almost an hour for our food to arrive.

When my order finally came, it was wrong — I ordered the Chile Relleno omelet, but was served a completely different meat omelet. Instead of acknowledging the mistake, our server insisted that what I had received was the correct dish, even after I showed her the menu description. After going back and forth, she finally returned with the correct plate within a couple of minutes, which made it clear the first one had just been a mix-up. That interaction felt unnecessarily confrontational when a simple apology would have gone a long way.

On top of that, our pancakes never arrived until we reminded them again. By that point, the experience was more stressful than enjoyable.

Overall: the food and coffee were really good, and I can see a lot of potential in this place. But the service and organization need serious work. It felt like the staff wasn’t prepared for the volume of customers, and there was no clear structure for who was responsible for which tables. I’m hopeful they’ll improve with time because the menu is worth coming back for. I’ll probably give them another try in a few months once they’ve had more time...

We were excited to try this breakfast spot since it is near our place. However, it was and awful experience and bland and/or overcooked. It was FREEZING. It took forever to have someone take our order AND it took another hour to get our food. In fact, we are pretty sure they forgot to make it until we asked about it. There was no seasoning. Most of the food was somehow cold. Portions are pretty small. My pancakes clearly sat and so the outer edges were hard and inedible. They offered us a coke for all the trouble. That was almost MORE insulting than doing nothing. And, it was EXPENSIVE. I would...

Walked in everyone seemed in slow motion and confused. The place was not busy. Waited 10 minutes to get someone to come to our table. Order coffee and water eventually got our coffee had to ask 3 different servers for water. They finally took the food order then we waited another 20 minutes. When I finally got our food it was cold and nasty. I ordered the breakfast burrito no salsa , no sour cream. The burrito was dry and had a horrible texture and after taste. No sense of urgency. We felt like we were in the twilight zone. The workers were all in slow motion and dazed. We will...

What a great new spot in town! Breakfast House nailed it on day one. The menu has plenty of choices and everything we tried came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. You can tell they put effort into quality ingredients. The service was quick, everyone was friendly, and the place already has a really comfortable vibe. It feels like the kind of local restaurant that’s going to become a favorite fast.

We are here this morning (on opening day)! From start to finished it took an hour. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was great. Super cute inside but it is on the smaller side. They have some options for seating outside. Seating is on your own and they will take your order from you once you find a seat.
