In the late afternoon of Monday, January 4, 2021, I stopped by for a load test on my SUV's battery and assumed that I would be buying a new battery. I noticed that a few other people were in the parking lot who appeared to be having the same thing done. There was one sales rep who was working expeditiously to help everyone out. It seemed that he was the only one in the store; he was juggling a lot trying to help everyone out, but what amazed me is how kind, professional, and calm he remained when interacting with everyone while simultaneously trying to help the next person in line. When he got to me, he updated me with where I was in the queue, and I offered to stop back later in the day as I had other errands to run.
I stopped back a few hours later and noticed that he was still plugging away, helping another person with a car battery. He quickly acknowledged me while helping another customer, and again he still was consistently polite, professional, calm, and relaxed. He was apologetic, noted that he was the only person in the stop that day, but still quickly did his best to help me out. Even while he was helping replace my batter, other people were arriving for assistance, and he continued to help other customers while changing my battery.
I'm genuinely impressed with my sales rep, Kevin. We've all been in situations where demand for our attention outweighs our availability, and this often wears at one's patience. However, he continued to plug away, was honest about his situation, and offered consistent professional customer service. Even when the store was technically closed, he was still helping people out who were looking for help. His actions and behaviors don't happen by accident and are very intentional. Kevin is the type of person I would want working for me, and you're lucky to have someone like that...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWas one of the worst customer service experiences I have recently had. I went into the store on Sunday morning, 10.6.24 to replace a key battery and gave the salesperson a pkg with one CR2032 battery and explained I had a low key battery notice in my vehicle and I had this from a replacement a couple of years ago. The salesperson took the key and said "yes, it is dead" and asked if I wanted to replace it". I said yes and he turned his back and put a battery in and then asked if I need another and I gave him the other key and I said that key is not used, does it need to be replaced? He told me they usually go dead at the same time and to go to the back of the store where the batteries are and wait. He was very short with me and came out to ring up the batteries ($13.99 for 2 batteries-- total charge $30.36) which I paid for. I asked him where was the pkg with the other battery and what type of battery did he put in- he said "it is a very common battery 2032" and I told him that the battery I gave him was a new battery and I wanted it back. He walked back to his back room and I could see he grabbed a battery from a bunch laying on the desk (most likely a dead one) and put it in the pkg and gave it to me. I was so shocked, I turned and walked out and he yells "have a nice day" in a very sarcastic tone. I was so surprised at this whole experience, I just did not know what to say or do. I have often purchased things from Batteries Plus (several locations) and have always appreciated the service in the past, but this was so bad, I will...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCannot say enough good things about this store. Have a Coleman Illumilast flashlight I bought for camping. Nice heft. Rubber bumpers on the ends in case you drop it. LED bulb which is very bright and has a feature that disconnects the batteries when off so batteries donāt drain. Was using it this weekend and it suddenly stopped working. Replaced the batteries. No go.
Then tried unscrewing the other end to pull the LED and it was stuck. Took flashlight to local hardware hank. They couldnāt open it either and said they didnāt have the replacement LED. So, off to Batteries Plus.
Guy behind the counter knows the flashlight. Says the front end doesnāt open and the LEDs last for a really long time. He says lets check the batteries. Flashlight take 3 AAs in a plastic cage. Has a battery tester on the counter and tests the cage. No juice. But, i say the batteries are new. So he checks the 3 batteries. All are good. Then he says āhereās you problemā and points to a little corrosion on a contact inside the battery cage. He says āgive me a minuteā. and takes the flashlight in the back. 3 minutes later he comes back and flicks on the light. Yep it was the corrosion. āWhatās the charge?ā I ask. āNo chargeā he says.
As i say, they are great. Have had them fix glass on iphones and ipads. They...
