About 1 week ago, I brought my 13 yr old daughter in to this nail salon to get her eyebrows waxed⦠She has nice & think eyebrows, that look beautiful when maintained⦠so this is something we have been doing for a year now. We had never been here before, but decided to try them out since we were in the area & they were one of the only salons open on Sundays. I called ahead to make sure that they would have time, and we were told to come at 4:15pm, which we arrived promptly at said time. Even though they were supposed to close at 4:30pm, they still had a full house at 4:45pm. Around 4:35pm, I stepped out front, away from the store front entrances, to take a phone call, and I smoked a cigarette while I was out there. (God forbid⦠shoot me why donāt youā¦) My daughter waited inside their waiting area, watching you tube videos on her phone. When I finished my call, I stopped smoking, put the cigarette out, threw the butt in the garbage, and headed back inside to continue waiting with my daughter. First of all, when we arrived, we were greeted with an attitude right away⦠but after returning inside from my phone call, a girl named āLillyā came out, and said she was ready for her (her being my daughter). My daughter & I got up to go back to the waxing room, when Lilly stopped me & asked if I could wait in the waiting area⦠I responded with āwell, she really prefers I go back with herā, and then, Lilly said āwell⦠you just smoke & it give me headache, it be better if you stay out. I couldnāt believe it⦠as nicely as I could, I said, āseriously? Come on⦠She is only 13 years oldā¦ā At that point, I was told that I could stand outside the door, which I agreed to⦠(Mind you, this entire interaction was in front of a packed salon) She lead us to the back of their salon, and pointed 5 feet across from the waxing room door and said āYou stand thereāš Which I obliged, as to still get my daughterās eyebrows waxed and to not cause any more of a scene then this Lilly had already caused⦠1st of all⦠before I said anything else⦠I went ahead and pointed out the obvious⦠whether I smelled like a cigarette or not, their waxing room was literally in a 8ft x 5ft area, what I would consider a āwalk in closetāš so I would not have fit in there, even if I smelled like rosesā¦š¤·š»āāļø Lilly being someone who works with the public, you would assume that she would be used to dealing with situations like this⦠being in customer service myself, I would have asked if the parent would prefer to wait in the waiting area only since the waxing area is so teeny tiny, or I would right away offer for them to stand directly outside the waxing room door also⦠that way they understand why I am giving them the option, instead of blaming them. I would totally use that as my ācopoutā reason, even if my real reason was that there was a hint of cigarette smell. (But no, she didnāt⦠so I chose to make a little joke to lily, quietly, but about not fitting in there even if I smelled like rosesš) Through the waxing, Lilly continued to dig by telling my daughter that she needs to keep track of when she needs to come in herself, and make mommy bring her. Little did she realize, my daughter has been going every 3 to 4 weeks for a year & mommy is totally on top of it. š I remained beyond polite throughout the entire Time, and at the end when I went to pay, right before I selected the tip, Lilly said she did not mean to be rude, but to please just not smoke before I come next time. I still tipped her, grabbed a business card, asked her for her name and said that we would be back, but we wonāt When in the car, my daughter asked if I was Ok(lolš ) she couldnāt believe that I was so kind to someone who was so rude to us, who embarrassed us in front of a whole salon of women. I told her a Google review can go a long way. I understand cigarettes stink, I earnestly want to quit, just havenāt gotten there yet⦠however, I do NOT smoke in my home or my car, so honestly, the smell couldnāt have been that bad! Iām Just sayingš¤·š»āāļø 1 star=open Sundays & 1...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been going to Blush for over a year. I moved back to the area and had tried multiple salons before I found Blush. Customer service is always top notch. Unfortunately, the quality of services has declined over time. The first time I had an issue was with brow waxing. I have full eyebrows, so I have only ever needed cleaning up when I get them waxed. After the woman waxed me, she began to tweeze. She began tweezing large chunks out of the center of my brows. I had to ask her to stop because I felt like it was too much and have never had anyone pluck that much. When I looked in the mirror, I had bald spots. Originally, I blamed myself for not stopping her sooner. I came in again, I had forgotten the woman who did them and ended up getting her again. She began doing the same thing. More recently, issues with my manicure. I get the SNS/Dip...I have been getting this for years. I love it, it always lasts at least 3-4 weeks. I got my nails done Friday night, and by Sunday afternoon I had chips on 2 nails. One of them was able to be fixed by filing it down, the other one had to be completed removed and redone. While inspecting my nail, the tech proceeded to upsell their Hybrid gel which I have been offered every time I have services done there. While I appreciate there may be a better option, I had paid $120 dollars to get my Mani/Pedi just 3 days prior. To me that is a lot of money already, and I expect the nails to last longer than 3 days. The next day, a chip on another nail. I wonāt go back to get this one fixed, Iām too frustrated at this point and I donāt have the extra time. I hate to have to start over on my search for a home salon, but I feel like I must...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy daughter and I got pedicures here on June 30th. I had been a faith customer here for a few years but the salon recently changed hands. The girl who did my toes took a chunk of nail out of my big toe nail during the pedicure. A V shaped chunk that goes down into the nail bed. She did it with the rotary file when she was removing my gel polish on my big toe. The other owner used to soak off gel and only used the file sparingly but they just file all the polish off and part of my toe nail along with it. She then asked if I wanted acrylic to cover the crack. She said my nail was cracked I said no it wasnāt she then said they were so thin that it just cracked as she was filing it. I said no it wasnāt cracked and my nail was not thin but she insisted it was so at that point I dropped it, not wanting to make a scene. I wish I had said and done more to complain at the time. But the girl was very friendly and nice and I was taken by surprise by the whole thing so I just said ok fix it. Later I noticed they charged me an extra 10$ for a ānail tipā to fix the damage they caused!! My toe nails are not thin and a big missing V shape piece of nail is not a crack. I debated about emailing or messaging them before posting a bad review but I couldnāt find any way to send a message. I decided to write this review to possibly save others from having...
