Normally I’d give an automatic 5 stars to Firehouse for their great subs and service, but this particular location just can’t seem to get it right. Don’t have two variants of a sub if you’re not going to give me the one I asked for. So many times, I’ve come to this location and asked a sweet and spicy meatball sub, only to get a regular. There’s a clear difference between the two. This most recent visit I made forced me to make a decision not to return to this location, even if it’s the closest to my home. After yet again not receiving the sub I wanted, I went back in simply to ask for them to add the pepper flakes and special sauce they add, to make it a “sweet and spicy”meatball. I was told that she’s not going to take it back and that she already added pepper flakes. I didn’t even ask for that. Then she gave me two sauces and shooed me away saying “just put that on there.” Look, I never write reviews, but this incident had me fairly upset. All I wanted was the sub I asked and paid for. After serving food to a family of four and they were eating, he told them that there was no in store dining for the last 20 minutes and instructed them to leave. Meanwhile there were at least 3 other patrons besides myself waiting for their orders. The family had PLENTY of time to eat and no where in the store does it alert customers of this “no in store dining” policy.
This same employee refused to take my call in order roughly 10 minutes before this incident. He said they couldn’t take the order because they needed to allow the toaster to cool before closing. It was 8:22 pm Friday when I made the call. Since I was only a few minutes away we still went and ordered in the store, and his attitude was very rude to myself and the next person that ordered. Read moreWORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! Im disgusted with the experience I just had. Never have I had to leave a negative review and I’ve been in the customer service industry most of my life. AMBER at this location, not only hung up on me right after placing the order, but dismissed me at the counter after I thanked her for my food. I felt like I was an inconvenience and burden ordering my food and was made to feel very uncomfortable. I was never greeted upon entering and it was almost as though Amber went out of her way to be short and disrespectful as if it was my fault I ordered food. I will never go back to this location which is a shame because I grew up eating firehouse with longtime friend Brittany Sorensen in Jacksonville whose father and uncle started the company.
