Great stuff in this store, which is why itâs so disappointing that I had a horrible customer service experience here. Last night about an hour before close, I saw a bag I really liked and because I had gotten a text about a 10 percent off sale, I wanted to buy it then. The sales associate Brenna informed me that the sale was the next day, so I asked if they did holds. She said no, but then proceeded to hold it for me anyway, putting the bag with my name on it where the Instagram buys are. I told her I would come back right when they opened the next day, which I did. Once I was there right at 10, I was then informed that the sale was from 5pm-7pm by a different associate, as well as the owner Kylie. I was a little frustrated that the girl from before didnât know, but was willing to come back and buy the bag at 5pm. This associate, with the owner within earshot, told us that the bag would still be here, with my name on it. I came back at 5pm on the dot, only to be told that the item was sold by Brenna and Kylie. They hesitantly apologized maybe once, but justified it by saying they didnât do holds. They kept saying it was a miscommunication and that there was nothing they could do, not very apologetically. We tried to express our frustration but they continued to repeat it was a miscommunication. Iâm not sure how MULTIPLE sales associates and the owner all could miscommunicate the same point of not doing holds, when they were already holding the bag for me. They had our phone number, so it would have been nice to at least be notified when either the bag was being sold, or at least notified and be told that they could no longer hold it. When trying to understand why we were not notified, we were repeatedly shut down by them saying âit was a miscommunication.â As someone who works in retail, it was a really disappointing experience, especially because I would have bought the bag then if I knew it wouldnât be...
Read moreVery negative experience...went there to sell a pair of brand new, out of the box designer boots. They wouldn't take them because they said they were "Men's" boots. I explained they are actually Unisex style. And on the box, it clearly reads both the Men's and Women's size, for the sake of conversion. Yet, they were selling a pair of used Dr. Martens boots...which are considered a Unisex boot. Worn by both genders. And on the company website of the boot brand, it lists the boot size of both Men and Women, if they did the proper research. Or, could read a shoe box. Technically, who cares? High end boots are boots and why do they need to be viewed as "Men's" by someone's personal perspective? Clothes and shoes are not gender specific...get with the times. I won't go back; waste of time and energy trying to do a simple exchange with people who don't exercise common sense or courtesy in the world of fashion / retail.
*In response to the reply on this, please note none of below was explained to me while in the store. It was a matter of them being Men's size when I returned to reclaim. Also, when I went into the store, I asked the person behind the desk how it works in terms of their way of doing consignment and purchasing. Nothing as further explained below was shared. Just that they will review my items then text me. Nothing about going to a website to check out popular brands accepted etc. Sometimes customers like a person to person assistance for clarity vs. defaulting to a website. The challenge is a poor and inconsistent experience all around. Lack of communication until after the fact. This isn't about not about having my item being not resaleable due to brand. Missed the...
Read moreI feel inclined to give zero stars, but since thatâs not an option I have to settle for one. The treatment that me and my friends received was so disappointing. There were multiple comments made that did not sit right with any of us and we are loyal customers, and have bought from here before. The woman wearing the olive green mumu, with Tory Burch sandals and long curled brown hair actively followed us around the store (assuming we would steal AFTER purchasing items??), openly spoke badly about us, and glared at us the entire shopping experience. Needless to say we were extremely uncomfortable and left feeling very hurt. We also were accused of vaping by some elderly employee with bleached blonde hairâwhile waiting in the dressing room line she yelled âwho is vapingâ while her crazy eyes pierced our soul. None of us consume nicotine so that was extremely obnoxious.
The only kind employee in the entire store was the younger woman who had her brown hair in a ponytail (I cannot stress this point enough, the YOUNGER employee. I donât want any of these brunette elderly woman to think weâre complimenting them, weâre not). Take a lesson in customer service and treat some people with compassion and respect. Itâs so much harder to go out of your way to be judgmental and rude than treat people...
