Potbelly — Restaurant in Saint Petersburg

I live close to the fourth street location of potbelly. During hurricane Milton, I evacuated to Tampa as I experience flooding with hurricane Helene. People at the hotel were talking about the potbelly in Tampa, how good it was, so I thought I would try the one closest to me in Saint Pete. I looked at their menu online, and went there last night October 15. I ordered two subs, one was the chicken club (for my son to take to work), the other was steakhouse beef. Although the bread was good, I felt that the steakhouse beef had absolutely no flavor, with the exception of the horseradish aïoli. The beef itself was not seasoned, and it was lackluster. Disappointed, as I really love a good philly, or a variation of it. Spoke with my son, today, and asked how he liked his sub. He said it was bland, underwhelming, skimpy on the meat. this is my first time eating here and everything was correct. I ordered via doordash and it arrived fast. I had no idea that all the subs are toasted. I don't really like toasted subs and was expecting my Italian sub to be cold. i ate it anyway and it was OK. I probably wont eat here again because I would still prefer a cold sub option. the lettuce was all slimey and gross and the other toppings I ordered are better on a cold sub. I have never been to the store itself so I don't know if there is a cold option but they don't offer it as an option on door dash. The Mama's Meatball sub that my partner ordered was good enough for my partner. He had no complaints. The broccoli soup is pretty thick but they filled the bowl to the top and...

I've been coming to this Potbelly for a while, and let me tell you, something special is happening here! The quality of the food is always top-notch—especially The Wreck, my go-to sandwich. But what really sets this place apart is the service. Jackson, Nick, Sean, and Cole create such a welcoming atmosphere every time I walk in. They’re friendly, polite, and always keep the place spotless.

I always joke with them, "Is this Gordon Ramsay approved?"—and based on my experience, I’d say 100% yes! This has to be the cleanest restaurant on 4th Street, from Central to Gandy.
