I went in today for the first time since I moved to the neighborhood. I was seeking reasonably priced, authentic Cuban food and my journey was worth it to wind up here. First of all everyone was very nice to me. There was a huge oversight on my part regarding language. This is a real cuban market - grocery store with a butcher and all sorts of items on the shelf. Women were in there to do their marketing for family meals so the deli part is just a bonus to customers. But I can't speak Spanish. And probably I should have realized this was a thing I needed to be able to do. When I get my groceries delivered from WM the language obstacle is huge bc of the area. I always have to use Google translate. But I didn't think of this, which? why not? so.. I finally got across that I just wanted a Cuban sandwich but stupidly I tried to customize it. Which was just so ridiculous on my part but they found someone who had at least some English and they tried so hard to honor what I was asking for. at that point I would have accepted a sandwich drenched in mayo rather than minus mayo bc for sure I should have used Google translate to look it up and solve this language barrier before it became a problem. Although ultimately it wasn't even a problem and they were very gracious to me. So I got the sandwich with no mayo. I am used to a Cuban sandwich with mustard, which it did not have but honestly what did I expect? and anyway I have mustard at my house. So the Sammy was 4 bucks. I died. Total win. I say go. Just look your order up before you talk to the lady in case you need to...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place was fantastic. Everything was well priced. Purchased everything I was looking for, and brought it home with me to Indiana to enjoy. And enjoy I did! The pasteles were absolutely delightful! The morcilla was delicious, although not the ones I had thought they were. (These were beef, and the ones I wanted were pork.) They have a wonderful selection of food available from the kitchen, which all smelled and looked amazing. They also had the largest selection of Goya products I've ever seen. Will make this a must visit place everytine I stop in to visit family in the...
