Came in with group of 8. As our group trickled in, we were attempting to get drink orders in. Two people were serving us at first. I tried to order wine, and the young lady never came back, and I never received any wine. I ended up ordered a Georgia peach, which was tasty! My wife had the sangria which was good as well. I ordered a glass of water later. Never received an offer of a refill, or another drink.
I ordered an appetizer, and a meal. I ordered the golden nuggets, and a rib eye. I specifically ordered my steak blue rare with the broccolini. I also ordered a side of the 3 cheese Mac, and truffle fries. My wife ordered the bayou salmon.
We had placed our order, and assumed we would see the apps within a reasonable amount of time. About 30 minutes had passed, another member of our party asked if we were going to eat tonight? The server replied saying when the food was up, he would bring it to us. She then pressed about the apps. He said we ordered it all at once so it would all come at once. So instead of staggering the meal behind the apps, everything got ordered at once. Sides were arriving prior to the meals. Apps after meals, and so on. It was chaotic, and was disheartening that the server was so lazy to not ask us how we wanted the apps, or to even stagger them for us. This is a common practice in all restaurants.
The golden nuggets were amazing! The sauce was tasty as well. Would highly recommend.
My steak arrived, and was very dark colored. I cut into it and found it to be medium rare. I brought this to the attention of the server and asked for a recook. The server took the meal, and returned. He said the steak was rare, but they use a chargrill. So it just looks dark. I explained that I was a cook in my past life. I am very familiar with what temps should look/feel like. He then said they could not cook it any more rare than it was. I then asked for a menu so I could pick another meal. I ended up ordering the Lamb, which was delicious! I ordered them rare, and they came out more rare than my steak. The baked Mac and cheese was good, but had been over toasted in the oven which made the noodles hard. Disappointing.
My wife never got her bayou salmon. My refire order had be delivered and her food still had not been delivered. My wife said she was no longer hungry and didn’t want it. He did what he could offering to pack it up for a Togo. She declined as we driver over an hour to eat here. We did not want the fish smell in our car.
In summary, the service is atrocious and needs serious attention. The food has great potential. Claiming to be a steak house, but not knowin how to cook a blue rare steak makes me question the legitimacy of the claim. Further more, for the money we spent this evening, I would not...

Let’s just say we as minority owned businesses need to do better. This is not a bash black owned either review. It was my cousin’s birthday—we had a reservation and confirmation, but somehow… they lost it. We were left standing outside because the space was tight. I was hot, sweaty, and tired of standing, so I sat at the bar—then the rest of the crew followed.
From the bar, I could see right into the kitchen. One of the cooks had wicks and no hairnet. Now y’all know I work in kitchens, so my alarm was already going off.
They told us we’d be seated after another big party, but I never saw that party. Instead, they sat us after seeing us standing around.
Now the server… chile… no smile, no warm welcome—just vibes like she was over it. I asked for a menu, and she hit me with a look like, they’re already on the table. But people were clearly sharing. Meanwhile, a stack of menus was just chilling at the bar.
Menu looked decent though—I was excited to try the food. I didn’t even know it was Black-owned until I got there.
I started with the roam oysters. They were okay. A couple needed more time—still kinda raw and room temp. My drink, though? Whew! It was a lavender mix with passion fruit, strong and GOOD. Whoever’s on bar duty—shoutout to them for the heavy hand!
Then came my entrée: 14oz ribeye, medium, with loaded mash and broccolini. Steak and mash came out first—steak was cooked to perfection but way too salty. Mash had flavor but too much liquid margarine and unmelted cheese. Broccolini came out 8 minutes later… I touched it—it was cold. Like, walk-in fridge cold. Sent that right back.
And just when I thought it couldn’t get worse… I found a hair in my steak. I let the manager know, and he really said, ‘Whose hair is it?’ Sir… c’mon now.
They brought another steak 25 minutes later. The manager was nice about it and made a joke saying and there is no hair lol. But this time it was medium rare. No one checked in on me to see how it was. I would have expected Ted the manager to stay while I cut it yo ensure it was done right. I couldn’t get anyone for about 15-20 min I finally flagged the server, told her it was undercooked. She just said ok. No fix, no follow-up. I get it they probably were ashamed but you want your customer experience to be better and atleast satisfactory.
I just asked them to take it off the tab. We finished up and left.
The vibe? Off. The food? Inconsistent. And the service? Unbothered. I don’t think they’re ready for big parties—or for guests who...
