A very large brand new building with a big parking lot, automatic doors, and slopping sidewalks for disabled access and rain run-off. Inside contains a huge assortment of clothing, household goods, glassware, some furniture, lamps, garden decorations, small appliances, pots and pans, and a fun area of new items, and some "seen on TV" things that defy description. There is a large glass-walled meeting room for job assistance which we didn't have time to check out but if you ask, someone can surely give you guidance on what is available there. The store is staffed by the nicest people who know how to find all the merchandise. And there are wonderful bargains to be had. I bought a new designer skirt and new Dockers slacks which will cost more for minor alterations than I paid for them; if I had purchased them at a retail store, the alterations would still be necessary. Also, got a new bathing suit for me, six new flower pots, some items for the house, and two unused purses. We spent less on everything than the skirt alone would have cost even if it were on sale. And I had a good time and am looking forward...
Read moreDo not go to this Goodwill. I purchased an electronic water kettle here, and did my due diligence of testing that the light turned on with a wall outlet in the store. However, when I got home and put water into the kettle the light came on, but the water wasn’t heating. I took the kettle back and explained this, but they stated the receipt says no returns or exchanges. I think this counts as an extenuating circumstance where they should understand that I did test it and it still didn’t work. I don’t have water on me to then see if the water boils while at the store. I asked if I could just do an even exchange for a regular stove top tea pot, but they wouldn’t allow it. This Goodwill location will take anything and not confirm if in working condition so don’t go here unless you want to buy defective products that don’t work. Shame on this Goodwill. Also, the man that spoke to me called me “Honey”. Don’t call anyone you don’t personally have a relationship with that. It’s unprofessional and...
Read morethe woman at the drop off area is always rude. constantly giving people a hard time about what she can take and acts like everything is such an inconvenience to her. We brought a very nice desk that still had a protective plastic on (the plastic was dirty and messed up) and as soon as she saw the top she said they “couldn’t take it” as if it wasn’t nice enough for them. once she was told it was just a protective layer she immediately said “we still can’t take that with the plastic on it - we aren’t going to take it off”. The alternative is it getting thrown away like you really can’t peel the plastic off and sell it to someone who can use it? Especially when they’re going to make pure profit off of it. Anyway, Once we took two seconds to peel the plastic off to reveal the nice top to the desk she was suddenly happy to take it now that it looked like a brand new desk…. I don’t understand why she’s always so condescending and picky about what they will take at a...
