This was one of my favorite stores to visit when on the island. It has been my go to for bedding, greeting cards, and gifts and employees were always welcoming and friendly. Today, I had a very different experience. I purchased a gift for my baby which was a stuffed animal dog and book that came with it. There were several different stuffed animal/book combinations which were labeled as being $36.95 but the one I purchased was not labeled. When I got to the car, I checked my receipt and saw I was charged $46 and so I looked up the item on the website of the manufacturer and it was listed at 36.95. My husband and I bought a sectional at Dutchmans, the sofa is beautiful and well built and the clerk was such a nice lady. I would have given five stars but when they delivered my sofa they forgot a cushion, while the young man was apologetic we didn't get any apologies from the store at all. It wouldn't have been that big a deal but the store is on St. Simons Island and we live in Jesup which is roughly an hour away. They did send the cushion but I would have liked to see some little note in the box saying we're sorry. They charged us $175 for delivery which I thought was a little expensive, it's not like it was a cheap couch it was a $2,500 couch and we got it for around $1800 because it was on sale. I absolutely love their Spice Island candles and potpourri, as well as their Tangelo candles and potpourri. I often by both because I can't decide which I love more! They provide excellent dreamy scents around the room you leave them in and last a very long time!!
