Winn-Dixie — Local services in Saint Simons

This has been my go to grocery store since I was a kid! All the employees are super nice and helpful. Keshia who's been there for at least 15 years always has a smile on her face and is willing to help with any questions you may have! Sushi is my next favorite thing about this store. It's always fresh and if you don't see what you want the sushi guy will make it for you. I get sushi once a week if not more!! Foster in the meat department is great too! I like thinner Ribeyes so he will cut them to perfection if there's not any out! Next is Deli!!! Marianela always has a happy smile and same thing as the rest she's willing to make sure you get what you want. I believe she's the manager of the deli and you can tell all the deli employees are wonderful!! Pharmacy is so awesome!! All the employees in the pharmacy know me by name and really go the extra step. From calling doctors for refills to getting your meds filled quickly!! Just last week I needed a refill and didn't realize I didn't have any left. On a Friday when my doctor closes early. She was able to get me my refill! Awesome staff! I can't say enough good things about the ppl that work here! If you need groceries,meds,quick bite to eat,money orders,cash a paycheck,lotto, Western Union,pay your power bill or a pound of thin sliced honey ham this is your store!! I was in self checkout buying cat litter and cat food my fiancé offered to pay for the litter and so we did two separate transactions on one same checkout machine and as we were leaving with our 5 items of cat related things this foreign lady who I see there every time I said have a goodnight! And she stops me and my fiancé and ask for our receipts accuse us of stealing .89 cent cans of cat food and 8$ bag of litter I didn’t grab our recipes from the machine because I don’t plan on returning cat food/litter and I told her to check the cameras or go grab the receipts and I left she was just flat out rude while I was trying to be nice to her and it’s not even the first time I’ve gotten treated with rudeness by her before this is just the first time it’s actually full on bothered me accused me and my fiancé of stealing 16 dollars worth of cat stuff and tells me I HAVE TO GRAB MY RECIPT TO SHOW HER is crazy me every time I go in there I see her half the time she walks up and rushes my self checkout throws my stuff in a bag and rushes me and is just rude no kindness with her I tried to call to ask if youguys had a new check recipe policy and to mention that she was rude and there was no answer and I say foreign lady with a accent hovers around self checkout youguys know who I’m...

Went here today to purchase some milk and Power Ball tickets. They had my gallon of milk for $5.04 but as usual they turn their self service lottery machine off. More often then not it seems like they have them locked by a shift manager at night because they don't want to deal with it. They informed me that the lottery system was down for an audit. It's 8pm, the night of a large power ball. They just don't want to deal with it so they shut it down. I literally drove to the gas station in the same shopping center and bought Power Ball tickets. If you don't want to deal with the lotto, just remove the machine because it's locked by staff almost every evening. And you lie to a customer about the lotto is currently doing an audit and that's why the system is down.
