I am incredibly proud to be a graduate of Roanoke College (Class of 2004). Looking back, I can honestly say that my time there provided me with a well-rounded, enriching college experience that has shaped my personal and professional life in so many positive ways.
The academics at Roanoke are top-notch. The professors are not only highly knowledgeable but genuinely care about the success of their students. Small class sizes foster meaningful relationships with faculty, making it easy to engage in thoughtful discussions and receive individualized attention. I felt challenged and supported throughout my academic journey, and the skills I gained have been invaluable in my career.
The campus is beautiful, and the staff are incredibly helpful and approachable. There’s a real sense of community at Roanoke College — whether it’s through academic advising, student activities, or support services, everyone is dedicated to helping students succeed and feel at home.
One of the things that made my college experience even more special was the town of Salem. It's a quaint, charming town with a very welcoming atmosphere, and it’s perfect for students. Salem has everything you need: local shops, restaurants, access to the Appalachian Trail and parks, all with a friendly, small-town vibe. It’s a place where students can relax, explore, and truly feel like part of the community. The town embraces its students, making it an ideal setting for a college experience.
All in all, Roanoke College provided me with not only an excellent education but also a wonderful community of peers, professors, and staff. I have nothing but great memories from my time there, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a well-rounded college experience in a beautiful,...
Read moreRoanoke College is a great college. I am going to be a junior this year and I couldn’t possibly have asked for a better college experience so far! The campus is amazing! It is so well kept and the facilities are great. It was ranked the 18th most beautiful campus by the Princeton Review and I think it should be ranked higher. The academics at Roanoke are great too. The faculty and staff are so supportive of the students and they genuinely care about us. There are so many majors, minors, and concentrations to choose from, the options are great. There are so many different clubs and organizations at Roanoke; it’s very easy and fun to get involved on campus. One of my favorite things is the food. The Sutton Commons has some of the best food. Sporting events are also very fun to attend. Roanoke has a lot of school spirit for their fellow Maroons. Roanoke College was ranked one of the top "Up and Coming Schools" by US News and World Report, and I understand why. With our new exciting curriculum, renovation of old buildings, the construction of new buildings, Roanoke is definitely on...
Read moreI did the Roanoke College volleyball summer camp last year and learn so much from it, I am doing it again this year and it is phenomenal. I am glad to be apart of it again. The college is very clean and in prestine condition, everyone I know enjoys their time here. I highly recommend choosing this college for sports because they have a very nice variety of gyms and places for you to workout out in. I'm not personally a student or athlete here yet, but as a player who is experienced now I can say this is an amazing college. Way to go, I hope for the success of everyone here and the college itself thank you for giving me a lot to learn and a great place to learn from. The coaches always seem to impress me and make me learn at least one thing new everyday and I have high expectations of things. I highly...
