For some reason it seems they have gone up on their prices, I usually go in bi-weekly, spend a 10 or so, never over 20. I bought 3 fry pans, a kids dress and a outlet plug. 40.00 I didn't notice the child's dress was priced 11.00, new it's 19.-24.00. I really think they need to take it down a notch. I won't be going as much with the prices high. They close at 5:30, but will rush you out by 5:20, you having paying customers you don't rush them out. Parking is terrible. The handicap parking isn't apparent and everyone parks in the spot not careing, if they have a lot of people there, they have no overflow parking, and they actually turn people away, because they need the two spots open for donations. Review prices, review parking and handicap parking, review customer service ;) I seen they did sort out the clothing, you can actually look at the jeans now.I hope they consider the prices, if they have someone new pricing items I don't know, but 11. For a child's sun dress...
Read moreIDK where the reviewer below who said place was overpriced shops normally, but she is soooooo wrong! This is the most inexpensive thrift store I have ever been in (and I've been in a lot!) Whenever I have been in need of something I check here first, and I'm never disappointed. Newer model Hoover vaccuum in PERFECT condition for $15, and in the back I found bags 3 for $1. Electric jar opener that's $40 on Amazon for $5. A gorgeous multi-hole picture frame for $2. A full box of labels for my printer $1. Have bought YARDS of upholstery fabric at about .50 a yard! Their furniture tent is super cheap too. IDK anywhere you can get items any cheaper than at Lighthouse. Best part....they donate hundreds of thousands of dollars to local charities such as Pettingill House, etc. "Can only donate during open hours"...yes, that keeps people from dumping garbage! And I LOVE THE VOLUNTEER...
Read moreThis is the best charitable thrift store that I know of. It is family run, with much support from their incredible staff and volunteers. All of the customers and the Leeward crew have gotten to know each other, which keeps us there talking and shopping for a long time. You are likely to here a lot of laughing. If you need something lovely, or a specific unusual "part", chances are you'll find it here. I especially like to shop here because it supports our community. I send all people who are looking to donate to Leeward. This brings me to their inventory. It is diverse, high quality, and most pieces are a true bargain. Many items still have tags on them. If you haven't been, you must come see...
