Mc Laughlin's Grocery — Local services in Salisbury

So I've been looking for this place for a while. My aunt used to live here and my brother goes there all at a time and my brother referred me to them and I love doing business with good people so your color doesn't matter but I am black and I prefer to look out for Black people at all times when I can . I still look out for other members of the human race but I like to look out for our own first because that's my responsibility. Well when I went today I was pleasantly surprised that they sell turkey chops and oxtails. When I got there they weren't stocked with turkey chops but there was a delivery coming and I didn't want to wait so I went up the road but before I left, Harry inquired of my name and number and he would give me a call when everything arrived. I get about six or seven exits down 85 South I think it was exit 68 to be exact and he gave me a call and said hey we got turkey chops they just came I said "I'm turning around" and I'm glad that I did because when I got there I learned that there's some other grapes called mascandains I don't know how to pronounce it but you don't have to eat the outside you just eat the inside and they're really sweet and I tasted them and they were really good I also was able to grab me some oxtails, turkey chops, browning .....oh man this is a hidden gem and I urge you even if you have to drive from Shelby, Spartanburg, Jonesville, Blacksburg, Mooresville, Charlotte, etc...please come spend some money with this beautiful black owned company that has been here since 1934 and that specific building has been there since 1961 they have great warming customer service and you may be treated to something special as a treat for your first time coming they did it for me and I'm sure they'll do it for everyone. I really enjoyed my experience and I will be back there again thank you Harry and everyone that that participated even his customers were very nice. FANTASTIC! Mr. Harry, Mrs. Sherly and Mrs. Carol are so welcoming! Found my new butcher shop finally. Was awesome to speak with fellow veterans. Not often that you find a butcher that will save you bones and cut up short ribs to order the way you like. Outstanding! Mrs. Carol carried my order out to the car for me was a big help to me. Wow....what a gem in the community! Walked in to introduce myself and volunteer to assist him in any mission! What a story on how he went from secret service duty for numerous presidents to serving the black community in govt and in the center of their town! I know it doesn't matter that in white....but I was so blow away by the sense of community that occurs at the suoermkt! There is hope....visit...
