I love this shop! First off, I heard about AST through a friend. I'd been looking for a new place to go after moving from CA to TX. As a good starter, I'd reached out to Aracely through Instagram after following for a while to see what sort of work she did. I had a design in mind and made an appointment with her.

The overall appointment was great! From the moment you walk in you're greeted in a friendly manner (I've been in other shops before and been given the 'gtfo' look) so that is their first major star. They treat you as a friend. No joke, Aracely treated me professionally and with the respect due all humans, but also has a beautiful handle on social cues. Being able to read a client's mood and personality is huge in a customer service or commission based business, and knowing how to interact and make a client feel welcome and comfortable is tremendous! Aracely has this down! She's nice and hilarious but will also give you her professional opinion on the work she does for you, which is greatly appreciated! She wants the best for you, so listen!

I've never done a Google review before but this is worth it. I went to Aracely (Artist & does her own and her husband's scheduling, she's incredible) about 3 months ago for my 16th tattoo. I've been to quite a few shops in San Antonio and the surrounding area, including a shop Adrian used to co-own about 6-7 years ago. Ara is amazing. I was able to get in because of a last minute cancellation and I immediately went after one of her custom pieces from her Instagram (@ara723). I got a planchette with a diamond center, and it is probably my favorite tattoo now. She went thoroughly over placement and how it would look at different angles, with my arm flexed or relaxed, etc. She's so professional and funny, the maybe 2 hours (?) it took for her to knock out the piece flew by. I would go back just to hang out with her, but I will absolutely be back to be tattooed by her again. I get SO many compliments. I can't recommend this shop enough.

My first tattoo here was with Ricko. He was 4 1/2 hours late. I really wanted to get the tattoo done so I waited. We weren’t able to finish the tat in one sitting but He said he would finish it in 2 weeks and get me in on a Saturday due to my work schedule and him being so late. The day of the appointment a month later on a Tuesday, he sent Multiple text saying he was on the way and never showed. After waiting for 2 hours, and no answer I left. I’m now stuck with half a tattoo!! I should’ve known better since he did the same thing to my wife. But figured he wouldn’t do that to all his customers. I was wrong. He seems like a cool guy but appointment times mean nothing to him. It’s very disrespectful and rude to your paying customers.
