DO NOT STAY HERE - I booked this room through Travelocity, it looked decent with a acceptable rating. I'm from Houston and was taking my son on a trip to San Antonio. I pulled into the lot about 8pm to find the office and immediately see a man urinating on the side of the building... I brushed it off and went into the office to check in. The office smelled musty, but I still decided to give this place a chance. The office lady was really nice (the only good thing about this place). I started to drive around to find my room and I see a lot of people standing around in different areas just staring at me, it was uncomfortable. Once I found my room, I walked in and immediately felt like turning around and walking out. It smelled like grease (there was a stove in the room). I was with a friend and my son. I told them to not sit or touch anything while I inspected the room. I pulled the sheet back and the first thing I see is hair strands, not just one type either, if you know what I mean... like the sheets had not been changed for some time. There were dirt stains and cigarette burns (non-smoking room) on the sheets and blankets. Gunk build-up on the chair and under the microwave. Stains all over the fridge and cabinets. Hair on the cabinets? Yeah... I took a picture to show what I'm talking about. Anyways, I immediately called Travelocity who kindly refunded my money and booked another hotel south of town. This place is trash.

I've stayed over a week now. At first I gave this place a 9. My only complaint being that breakfast was said to be included in my stay and thus far, it has not been. I'm told they haven't gotten their shipment yet but I can walk to Target. I'd of made sure guest had something. It's not hard to produce a grab and go breakfast. However, things happen. I imagine the front desk is not at liberty to nor do they have access to money for such things. My stay otherwise was fine with one tiny exception that has grown to be much bigger than an annoyance. My room is located next to a storage room. One employee in particular will go in and out, doing her job (although not efficiently with so many trips in and out back to back) and slam the door. It's a heavy door. Sometimes she is in and out 28 times I counted once and that was under an hour. Sleep has been lost on me while at your establishment. I sleep more during the day as my schedule is switched. Or, I normally do. Today I had been asleep one hour when it started. I knew who it was as it Shook the TV and only her slam does that. Little did I know it was about to get worse. I had scheduled housekeeping for today. Your friendly front desk guy offered it and I happily accepted. So, you can understand why I was suprised when I had a knock and as expected it was housekeeping, me being ready to vacate the room and allow them to work, I opened the door prepared to leave. It was clear we weren't on the same page when she asked if I needed anything. I thought maybe I had the wrong day? I asked for towels while I consulted my calendar. Nope. Right day. So, when she arrived with towels I mentioned that I thought they were coming in to change the bedding etc Boy if looks could kill, "So, you want us to do that then? " and she walked off. I don't think I was supposed to answer. Now a different employee comes back not with a cart. No, she has sheets balled up in her hand. I had left the door slightly open and she knocked, I said I was coming and she continued to knock and yell housekeeping. Then she came in. I'm assuming she has hearing difficulties so we can let that slide. The second she saw me, (I'm walking to the door to let her in and leave) she barks that I'm going to have to leave and that she can't change my pillowcases right now or comforter. I smile and said of course, and then I apparently become an annoyance because I asked if they could vaccum. Mind you all of this and much more is included in the cleaning they were scheduled to do. This person looked at me dead in the eye and said I'd have to pick my change up off the floor and she guessed that they could. Okay, maybe she was having a bad day? So, I'm waiting outside the room and walk down a few doors even to give her space. She returns with the first employee and a vaccum. Oh, but I was sure to pick up the ONE Penny on the floor as she ordered me to. So, they get in the room and instead of a vaccum I get to hear all about how someone the second employee knows had the audacity to have a mixed baby. "He is black!" She was quite heated about this. I was instantly very aware of my black hair and darker skin. I'd like to think she just didn't want to do her job and her attitude wasn't anything more than that. I'll be the bigger person and give the benefit of the doubt. This went on for about 20 minutes. I could of finished the entire room, done the trash, wiped things down. I could of completed everything listed on the website in the time it took to vaccum. After they left I noticed that a clipboard was left behind. I'm not one to snoop but it sure looked like they listed doing way, way, more than they actually did. I am suprised such a clean place that seemed to be in order has let that go on so long. But what do I know. Wait, I do know customer service and I don't think anyone would argue this hasn't been the finest hour at Extended...

The good: Rooms were clean, the provided kitchen extras (coffee maker, dish drainer, toaster) were all surprisingly clean as well.

The bad: Lots of dirty needles litter the rocky decorations around the property. This place is clearly very aged in falling in disrepair. My first room developed a massive leak in the ceiling above the shower the night before I had to work. I told management, they said there were no open rooms, but someone would be checking out the next day and to stop by the office as they assured me I would have a new room.

No biggie, I need to sleep, leak is contained and I already showered. I go to work, come back and ask for the new room keys and nothing had been done to procure a new room. After a brief verbal squabble, I got a new room just in time to move everything and sleep again for work the next day.

A few weeks later while trying to sleep for work I hear the wonderful sounds of heavy construction equipment right outside the room. They started letting a company literally tear up the parking lot completely UNANNOUNCED for 'much needed repairs'. I'm talking literal jack hammers mounted to skid steers taking huge chunks of concrete out of the parking lot and then throwing them into huge metal containers just 50 feet from my second room. I got roughly 3-4 hours of sleep for 3 days straight due to the construction.

Weekend comes and the parking lot is a complete mess. It resembles a maze more than anything now, with one very narrow one way lane to leave the hotel area. At this point I was ready to leave, but working long hour nights I wanted to wait until I had a day off to move. Got good sleep over the weekend, things were looking better.

Then today, 2/21 a construction worker POSING AS A MEMBER OF HOUSEKEEPING, kept knocking on my door yelling 'Housekeeping!'. This woke me up, I yelled to come back later but they persisted. After 3 minutes of this I get up and open the door. A construction worker tells me I need to move my vehicle immediately because they'll be tearing up the parking lot right outside my door today.

I've had it. This is not only extremely unprofessional, but possibly illegal to pose as a member of ESA to get me to open the door. Despite the fact that I was supposed to go to work and needed sleep, I packed up everything and went to the front desk asking for an explanation.

They said there was nothing they could do, the decision to have unannounced construction went above them and they were informed that morning. Maybe that's the truth, maybe not - the fact is the incompetence of ESA - SA management/upper management resulted in me having to work with little sleep, and cost me an entire day of work today.

DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU NEED TO WORK, YOUR TIME WILL NOT...

I went to pick up a friend to take her to the store and she wasn’t ready yet so I went into her room and waited! While there the manager came banging on on the door and seen me and asked how many people were in the room… there were 3 of us, again I was just visiting! The manager was very rude and stated nobody was allowed in the room, so I went to my car to wait on her as I didn’t want to cause any problems for her! She called me today and stated that the manager started banging on her door this morning and told her she had to leave! She didn’t argue and told the manager she will get her belongings and leave! She has been staying there 4 weeks so it took around 30 minutes to gather everything and place in the vehicle. During that 30ish minutes, the manager came back 2 more times rushing them! Then when she got in the car the manager and maintenance literally came to the car saying they were making sure they were leaving for good!

The major issue is this…. THEY PAID IN ADVANCE AND STILL HAD 3 MORE DAYS, AGAIN PAID FOR, AND THE MANAGER REFUSES TO REFUND THEM!! ALSO, BEFORE MOVING INTO THIS HOTEL THEY SPOKE WITH CORPORATE AND WAS PROMISED A CERTAIN PRICE AND WHEN THEY WENT TO CHECK IN, SAME SAID MANAGER WOULD NOT ACCEPT THE PRICE, EVEN WITH DOCUMENTATION OF THE PRICE CORPORATE PROMISED!!

A lot of people are struggling financially right now, and again my friend is in between places! When staying in a hotel, it’s very hard to save money, so now she’s out 3 nights of the room and the money she already paid for it!! Let’s not mention, there were roaches in the room which didn’t help her checking out any faster as she had to check her suitcases and shake everything out individually to make sure there were no unwanted hitchhikers!!

Also when I pulled up I called and asked if she had a smoking room and she said no, I would have to finish smoking outside, so I did so in my car before going in… manager came maybe 5 minutes after I got there and was accusing them of smoking in room and I tried to explain I just walked in from smoking but was rudely ignored me! There were no ashes, cigarette butts, nothing… reason being, MY FRIEND DONT EVEN SMOKE!!

She is contacting corporate back, and I’m praying they can resolve this issue! Before checking in corporate was great, but as soon as she stepped foot in there to check in all positivity went...
