I purchased from La-Z-Boy approximately two years ago. At the time of purchase, I also opted for the extended warranty, expecting both quality and peace of mind in the investment.

Unfortunately, the fabric on all three pieces has not held up well—it is heavily pilling and has developed a fuzzy, worn-out appearance despite normal use. Additionally, both recliners (located at each end of the sofas) now make loud, concerning noises whenever they are used, as if the mechanisms are on the verge of breaking. This is extremely disappointing, especially considering the premium price we paid for what was marketed as a high-quality product.

Another issue is the non-removable cushions, which I was not made aware of during the purchase process. This makes regular maintenance and cleaning very difficult and impractical.

I contacted the warranty company to file a claim and was told that I needed to send photos before an inspection could be scheduled. However, the pictures fail to truly capture the poor condition of the fabric and the mechanical issues we’re experiencing.

We had been shopping for hours and I think he just wanted to get it over with. We decided to eat before he made the final decision. We saw LazyBoy next to us and decided to look. My son was hesitant because he associated LazyBoy with overstuffed recliners. Wow. LazyBoy had all kinds of quality furniture to choose from. He actually found two sets he loved. The furniture is solid wood. No veneers. The salesman was very helpful, but not pushy. He waited patiently while we decided. The style also offered other matching pieces. We were able to get a matching coffee table, tv console and bookshelf in addition to the nightstand and gentleman's chest. Delivery was less than other stores charge. It is a three week wait period.
