When I first joined, probably the first 6 months it was super humid. I was told not all 4 of their air-conditioners were fixed from the hurricane yet. Being thatbi live in fort myers I chose to be understanding and give it time. The floors are always dirty. the staff literally only stands behind the desk chatting with eachother. Bouncing balls and playing around. They never clean, if you ask for help 4 of them will just stare at you got awhile before one finally decides to ask what you need. I had brought up to multiple staff the matts were falling apart and needed replaced. Once they finally were, they are made of foam. I brought up that a foam matt cannot be properly sanitized. It is porous. Also a gym is breeding grounds for staff infection. I would appreciate matts that were not porous and water resistant. Also brought this up to the manager, he just argued you spray and wipe it, it's sanitized. Told my nurse friend, she agreed it was a large issue. You have nothing but children running your gym, they don't know what customer service is, nor how or what is sanitary, nor do they care. I had frozen my account this spring due to working out of state. They knew the reasoning. I was still charged half of my membership fee. Since I was out of state there really was nothing I could do. I asked when I returned, they told me it was normal. If you read online it is supposed to completely stop charging you while frozen. So, that was a lie. I asked to cancel. Turns out it was 4 days after my membership already came out. They let me know I would pretty much be a member for 2 months, charged for another month. Had me sign a blank pad. My signature was slapped onto a $63 and some change charge. I did not get to read anything, was told my signature was to cancel. They tried to say I will owe an annual fee next month. Which goes to upgrades to the gym. Since I will no longer be there to use said gym, this is not ethical. They did not care. If you add my membership fee and annual fee. It does not equal 63 and some change. They just came up with their own number. Nothing about this staff and management is ethical, or sanitary. If I could give zero stars I would. The only positive thing about this gym, is it's in a safe area. As a single female you feel safe in the parking lot after hrs. Highly recommend avoiding amped...

The first thing I can say, is that this gym looks nothing like the pictures online, those were all posted when amped was brand new. Amped is a great brand, and a really cool concept. I want to love Amped Fitness, but I can’t. I feel like it’s the only gym in the area that isn’t geriatric, which is the only reason I still go there at this point.
You can tell that the staff at Amped fitness love the brand, unfortunately the franchise owners in this particular location just do not care enough to keep their gym up to spec. The place is in disrepair. Regular maintenance is skipped on all equipment, most machines are broken or borderline unusable, and it’s almost impossible to find any attachments for the cables.
The A/C in most parts of the gym leaks condensation on the floor, and the gym itself is filthy. Over time you begin to notice that it is rarely ever cleaned, out of four months, I’ve seen janitorial staff cleaning once. I’m convinced the bathrooms are never cleaned, which brings me to my next issue.
There is faulty plumbing in the building, which results in the bathrooms constantly being flooded, closed, or broken. Within four months of having a membership, it has not been fixed.
This gym was very nice when it first opened, but after that, they never did maintenance or kept up with repairs, and now it’s practically falling apart. They use the moody lighting to hide the dirt, dust, and grime, but it hardly works.
The place needs to be shut down for at least a week, every piece of equipment needs to be thoroughly cleaned, inspected, and given maintenance or replaced. The gym itself needs a deep clean, new paint, new trim, and new floors. The bathrooms need to be remodeled, the basketball court needs to be gotten rid of and turned into a functional space, and overal, it just needs a makeover.
It is not fair to patrons that we have to pay for such disrepair, and it’s not fair to staff that they have to work in such awful conditions. This gym needs some serious fixing, and if you don’t mind working out with old people, I urge you to get a membership...

Unfortunately due to a rotating in and out staff as they can't seem to keep people for more than a few weeks to a month, I've had to deal with three different managers to try to get my contract canceled. This has been an ongoing battle for 4 months now. Despite being assured by Dakota 2 months ago that my contract was for sure canceled even though I was refused any paperwork Documenting so I'm still being charged. I have emailed, made phone calls, gone in person and even tried to contact corporate via email to try to get this resolved for 4 months now. I've gone through every appropriate channel channel and through no fault of my own My contract has yet to still be canceled And I still continuously get charged.
I did finally get to speak with the regional manager Luis (I'm pretty sure his name was ) today who was of no further help. He put in a request to cancel it but told me I was still on the hook for yet another month of payment. And told me that they would not honor the previous attempts to cancel as the previous manager did not enter it correctly and did not have official confirmation of cancellation. Nor would he take the word of the previous manager Dakota. Even after explaining my entire situation, he said that he could provide no refunds or help me out further even though it was due to the ineptitude with the previous management.
Besides the nightmare in trying to cancel this membership, The gym itself tends to be dirty with mold in the showers (there are other posts addressing this) frequently broken equipment, And severe leaks that leave large water hazards on...
