Update: We came back here to stay after visiting the resort last year. We love this place. The staff are very eager to help you, and there is a strong sense of community here. Why? Many of the guests staying here come year after year. This is their seasonal winter home. So, ".. everyone knows your name." As the song goes from the TV show Cheers. I'm so glad we made this our place to stay this year.
Fort Myers RV Resort has nearly 300 RV sites. As expected, there are families that come here during the winter months (snow birds), and there are permanents and transient (like us).
This is truly a luxury resort sporting a large heated pool, 18-hole miniature golf, recreation hall, shuffleboard, billiards, kayak rentals, and many other amenities. Propane refills.
The grounds are well maintained and very clean. The staff are kind and very helpful.
The pictures that I've included with this review were taken on cloudy overcast skies with temps in the low 60's. Normally, there are activities going on outdoors all the time. So! If you want to get involved, it is easy to do. Very
last year's review
Very nice RV park. Clean. Well kept. Many of the seasonal residents come year after year. There is a sense of community here that makes one feel at home. The club house or 'rec hall' I think they call it always has something going on. We joined in with a group to watch the NFL playoff games. It was fun. Lots of shouting and gentle ribbing at fans of the opposing team.
The roads are wide, and it is easy to get into your site.
We were only here for the day visiting friends, but if we were down here for the winter months, I would seriously consider...
Read moreNever stayed here, but I can’t imagine how the customer service is for those who have. About a a week in a half ago I was thriving down tamiami and my tire popped. The road was very busy so I pulled off into the resorts parking lot. Keep in mind I’m a young female and this is the first time something like this has happened to me. I was in the lot for about 15 minutes and this old lady in the passenger seat of a truck pulled up and right off the bat was very rude to me. She said “can I help you” and I told her I have a flat tire. She said “well you can’t be here” and I told her I was trying to call AAA and I didn’t know the area well and asked where else I can go in the meantime. And she said “well you need to call them right now and you can’t stay here overnight” and I said i had already contacted them and was waiting, and told her I never planned on staying overnight over a flat tire. She rolled her eyes and drove off, and acted like I was a huge inconvenience. There are so many other ways to approach this, a “hey, it’s ok to stay here for now til you’re settled but we just ask that you please don’t stay here overnight” would have been fine. But she was extremely rude, and yelling at me over me being parked there for 15 minutes. I ended up being there totaling...
Read moreI wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. We were suppose to stay 6 months but had to leave January 20th due to a family emergency they kept 2350.00 of our money because they has us pay for the 6 months up front and then told us they have a no refund policy. We went home for 3 weeks the November and they tried to charge us 176.00 for the electric and we wasn't even there. Water was off alot. When we left in January we paid the electric for that month and told them we had to leave and just yesterday the hit our credit card for a 31.81 electric bill when we weren't there at all in February. Called management at the rv park and Nobody knows what they are doing. So we called corporate and she was just as bad. They never mowed or anything while we were there for 4 months. That park is a joke. I would give it no stars but I had to give it 1 star to be able to post this review. We weren't the only ppl to leave...
