China House — Restaurant in Florida

absolutely the worst experience of my life. i place a pick up order online at 10:20pm when they close at 11pm, was going to pay in cash so i started heading there. why do i get a phone call from the restaurant and it’s a lady SCREAMING at me for not paying for my order online and how they were not going to make it unless i went there right then and paid. mind you i was already on my way less than 5 minutes, this is way before my pick up time and im actively telling her i am paying in cash but she won’t even let me get a word out she is SCREAMING at me. i hang up, wait a few minutes and call from a different number asking if i can place an order and pay cash there and they say yes i can. why did i get a phone call unprovoked from a lady YELLING at me over not paying for my online pick up order when i had chosen the option for cash and even told her myself??? as someone who works in a restaurant, that’s no way to do business or talk to ANYONE. do better or get new staff either way we will never be trying to order...

I've been patronizing China House since it first opened and have generally had good experiences. Today, I placed an order for takeout and I realized that I had a missing dish when I got home. When I called to make sure that I wasn't charged for it, Ling, the owner, was very fast and rude to insist that I hadn't ordered the dish that was missing. I know what I ordered!! Just own up to the fact that you made a mistake and APOLOGIZE!! That would have been the end of it. Why would you insinuate that your customer is a Liar?? Is there something wrong with you, Ling?? After many years of being your loyal customer, I expect to be treated with some respect!! I won't be returning to China House very soon... not because something was missing in my order (mistakes happen), or that the food is bad (it isn't), but because the owner was rude and unprofessional. Ling, it's time you learn some customer service skills!! I hope having a nasty attitude is worth losing a good...

China House, Alico Mission Way, Ft. Myers, FL. Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter. If you never have had Chinese food and are a cheapskate this is for you.

I ordered a house special with shrimp/chix and a Mongolian beef. Both listed as hot and spicy. I requested extra peppers of course. Of course they were wrong. No Heat. Plus this was just nasty food. The house special had 2 count, them two small shrimp and a bit of chix. It was filled with some veggie, BUT is was just nasty tasting. I threw it away. Mongolian beef you should see peppers, have maybe those little corn from a can , chestnuts. Here just grilled white onions and beef. I added my own heat. This is the worst chinese I have had here. I wonder how they stay in business. They were very nice folks. AAHHH we are in florida where folks are cheap & do not have a clue about world cusine. Never here again...
