I stopped in and tried the new Mizuki Restaurant off of US 41 and Alico, it’s on the end of the Alico Mission Publix Plaza. I had seen excellent reviews on Google and Yelp and had to see what it was about. There were several tables filled with people and all looked happy and enjoying themselves. We picked a booth and was promptly greeted for drinks. We had wine and soft drinks. Their menu consists of appetizers, sushi apps, both cooked and raw sushi options, hibachi options from the kitchen (not hibachi table side), kids menu, and desserts. We started with the avocado bomb (I posted the original presentation and the cut in view). It was a great start to the meal. We decided to try out the menu so we split some sushi rolls and hibachi. The hibachi was served with clear soup and ginger salad to start. We chose the filet mignon option and it was cooked a perfect medium rare. It was served with the vegetables, fried rice, and the a bottle of yum yum sauce for you to use. It was delicious. The hibachi has combo options too if you want to try different proteins. For sushi, there were so many good looking options. We went with the Mizuki roll that had King crab, tempura shrimp, rice, soy paper, avocado, and eel sauce. The other roll was the King Kong roll which was spicy tuna and cream cheese inside, tempura fried, and topped with the baked krab. Everything was really good! I am always on the hunt for good sushi in the area and this was one of the best. No room for dessert this time. Service was so friendly and attentive. We look forward to going back and I highly recommend you give this...
Read moreI recently went to this restaurant with my family on vacation, to say that the service and food was amazing is an understatement!
I ordered with sashimi lunch special and received 3 tuna, 3 salmon, and 3 yellowtail peices. The salmon was definitely my highlight, it was melt in your mouth delicious, and the marbeling on the meat looked great. Both the tuna and yellowtail were also delicious, but the salmon is my personal favorite. I also got the ika salad and it was very refreshing. I liked the texture of the ika, it wasn't chewy and was savory. The salad had seaweed in it too which was a nice crunchy and fresh addition, it added some nice flavor and texture that contrasted well with the ika.
The rest of my family got the maki rolls and hibachi lunch specials which they all really enjoyed, and I did have a taste of some of it, and it was good.
The service was also fantastic, the waitress was very attentive and did a great job explaining any questions. The food came out in a very timely manner. The waitress was fantastic about making sure we had everything we needed, and was very on top of refilling drinks when they got low.
Much love to this restaurant, enjoyed my time...
Read moreGoogled “sushi near me” and this came up. Looked at the reviews and thought I would try it. Ugh! All the spicy rolls are fil with “crunch” but nothing crunchy about it. I ordered Spicy Tuna and Kano salad. Bothe Wed so loaded down with filler you could not even taste the cucumber or crab in Kani salad or tuna in spicy tuna roll. I did let the server k kw and that is when she explained the pink studs mixed with all that filler was indeed tuna. No way to validate that claim since there wasn’t any resemblance of tuna in the taste. SMH. They did credit the tuna roll
Every sushi restaurant has offered the same type of thing. I am a sushi eater looking for the traditional “raw” rolls. Good luck finding that in the Bonita Springs, Estero, Fort Myers and even Cape Coral area. I am done trying to find a sushi restaurant in this area. Even the standard spicy tuna rolls or salmon rolls are full with the filler “crunch” and no “spicy” to be found. Won’t be back to this or any other sushi restaurant...
