Diamond Boutique — Local services in San Diego

This is a bizarre place. I have dealt with them since they were in their old, non-frills store right next store to Ralph's grocery store on Mira Mesa Blvd. If they believe you have "banked" money they will spend enough time to learn your likes, hobbies, etc. and without your knowledge.... have jewelry MADE that is over the top, then present it to you in hopes your covetousness will win over and you buy. BEWARE! Recently we went in to settle some things. We made an appointment first, with (owner)Mali...no surprise visit as I "wanted" everything settled once and for all. I was told (2011) it would be 3 months to get a repair estimate from Rolex for my watch, and the same for my husband's Catena watch. I was never given a call, ever. I called several times, finally telling Natasha it was very evident the right hand didn't know what the left was doing around there. I also had a ring repaired. I was never given what the cost would be finally Natasha said it would be $250. but she wasn't sure what the owner would ask for. What? I sent a long email to the owner Mali of my total dismay and how it was impossible to get a straight answer from any of them. My husband finally bought himself a new watch. So, the other day when we went in for the above appt, I took all the paper work, receipts, etc. in a Diamond Botique envelope, Mali snatched every piece of my records (10-15 records) and refused to return them to me! We said we did NOT want the watches repaired. We settled our bill, paid in full. She also lost my beloved yel/wht gold earrings. She gave me a $60. credit, I started to cry. I was so upset, so she upped the credit, but that did not replace them to me. I was told she HAD them before we came in.

I did have her however resurface a ring (in house repair)as it was our 48th wed ann. and paid for it upfront. I asked her again to give us my husband's watch back before we left. She flat outright refused saying we could get it back from her the next day when we picked up the ring. My husband went in to pick up my resurfaced ring, and HIS WATCH. I couldn't believe what she said. She said she had sent it out to Catena (NYC?) for another estimate!!!!! She did NOT have our permission to do that! Then she also told my husband, she had miscalculated, and now wanted another $300. from us. Now, since she stole all my records from me........and I have no records to refer to now nor receipts......I am forced to "JUST TAKE HER WORD" and I refuse. Enough is enough! Do not go here. I guess now she will "think" she has a right to keep my husband's $2,000. watch! I feel robbed! Wish I had a button to push...to keep her away. I am so upset I feel like I need to have the police escort me back there to demand her to give me my earrings (and return in cash the small credit she gave me for loosing them) and my husband's watch. I will post.....if my earrings and my husband's watch is ever returned to me, otherwise they will remain stolen...

As a result, my fiance and I met with and fell in love with the team at Diamond Boutique in Flower Hill, Del Mar! Coming from nothing, I naturally have my skepticism... but, in this case I could not be happier!! Family owned business that cares... without a doubt. We not only purchased our 5+ carat stone from them but we also entrusted them with listening to our special and unique setting wishes and hoped all would turn out well with our custom setting requests... bottom line... we are pleased beyond belief... they completely nailed it! And the best part of all we have established what we consider to be lifelong friendships. Many many thanks go out to this amazing team... They far exceeded our every expectation during the whole process of purchase, design, execution,...

I have been coming to Diamond Boutique for approx 8 years of which my husband has purchased some incredibly beautiful pieces for me. Recently after having my engagement ring on my ring for the past 22yrs; we needed to get it off my finger and reset the diamond into a new setting because the old setting was damaged. Not being clear if I wanted to have the old setting remade or maybe to change it up a bit, yet I lacked the vision of what to do - plus did not want to also have a heat attack on the price to change it up!!!!

After working with Diamond Boutique and somewhat blindly understood and worked with them on their CAD - I had an idea but never really could envision.

Well today I picked up the ring - needless to say; it is magnificent, spectacular, gorgeous, etc.....the fine detail that was put into this ring is beyond explainable. They are so knowledgeable and understand exactly what you want, your budget and your actual hands and fingers and how the jewelry. will look on you - they have never tried to sell me to make a sale - it has always been to make sure I am happy and that the piece represents itself well for the area.

I can’t recommend them enough. Completely honest, honed knowledge and their customer service is exceptional.
