If you're looking for a gym to get stronger and healthier, Performance 360 is the place to be. As someone who has taken multiple fitness classes from boot camp style to CrossFit, Performance 360 has stood out to be the best group style training for any individual no matter what your health and fitness goals are!
A common misconception about "being healthy" is to take a lot of boot camp classes and get on the treadmill. As a former personal trainer, that is NOT a sustainable way for people to stay healthy. In fact, most people gain the weight back after relying on cardio only OR they injure themselves. I know this because I work as a physical therapist, & most of my patients tend to get injured from those high-intensity classes where they focus on tiring you out as much as they can, with no structure in their programming makes no sense at all.
At Performance 360, their strength training and programming actually make sense and does get you stronger! Iāve been working out there twice a week since January, and I noticed they program movements that will not only make you feel stronger in the gym⦠but also outside of life!
If you're new to strength training, do not be intimidated by the barbells, weights, or even the workout on the board. The coaches give very in-depth explanations on how to do the exercise and will even make sure your form is correct during the actual workout.
If you're not new to strength training and you're someone who has been weight training or used to be an athlete, the workout programs are just as effective - plus the coaches will still give you extra motivation to push yourself because they want you to become stronger, and they'll even still give you feedback on your form for safety. I've taken multiple classes at the Bay Park location, and all the coaches have been very knowledgeable to help me reach my strength goals - especially Madison, Ashley, Kara, and Emily.

The community and relationships I have been able to build through the gym has made San Diego really feel like home. I know when I walk into a class that I will be met with genuineness and unconditional positive regard every single time. In my past experiences attending CrossFit classes I found that instructors would throw a workout at us, turn on fun music and let the folks at it.. Performance 360 - Bay Park, however, does NOT do that. The instructors are knowledgeable! Kind! Informative! COACHES! They break down the fundamentals while challenging you when ready. They engage with their students on a personal level, providing a communal environment culture while still paying close attention to each student's physical ability. š
Their app = #ChefsKiss š They post the daily workouts prior to, and it allows you to personizle how you track your progress. I also love that it allows you to rate your attended classes and instructors for each class you take. It helped me identify what classes I enjoyed most (PSC, PUMP, LIFT) and what instructors I vibed with the best! ⨠#ThatMatters!
