Sammie is truly an outstanding yoga teacher (which is hard to be btw). She is so knowledgeable on the mechanics of yoga asanas and so clear, articulate and energetic in her language it makes her classes fly by. There is such a beautiful transition from slow awareness building to CHALLENGING (in the best way) to calm and grounded again. I do a lot of yoga and and have to say that Sammie is one of the best. Each class of hers is an experience.
Also a plug for her private yoga classes for events. I organized one for a friends bachelorette and it was so so special. She had friends of mine doing balancing poses they hadn’t been able to do before and she made the breath work and guided meditation personalized to our friend group and the bride specifically. Read moreSammy led my mom and a group of her 4 friends (60yrs +) in weekly yoga and meditation classes. Everyone in this group started as beginners and a few mostly only spoke Spanish. Sammy was able to expertly lead them in Spanish although it is not her first language. Each person felt supported and learned so much. Thank you so much for your expert care and attention to each person even in a group setting, we are so grateful. My mom and her friends still take weekly classes and also online classes with zoom with Sammy. Her background in psychology is incorporated in her practice, I sometimes joke that it's like going to therapy. I've attended several of her meditation and yoga classes, group and private. She sends helpful material and makes insightful recommendations, she is very positive and encouraging. I always feel more relaxed after her guided meditation, and she also helped me with stretches that successfully corrected pinched nerve pain that I had in my neck, so both physical and mental health benefits...
