This is a beautiful and very dangerous trail. There are many rescues from this trail yearly and a couple deaths/hospitalizations. The sandstone is very worn away in some areas and it’s very easy to slip into a crevasse and fall 10-20ft if you do not pay attention to your footing or you slip. I would definitely not do this trail after it rains. It is a moderately physical trail and there is some rock scrambling. While you do not need hiking boots, definitely use shoes with a good grip.

Read more☠️☠️☠️ EXTREMELY DANGEROUS WITH NO SIGNS TO GUIDE YOU AWAY FROM DEATH TRAPS. I thought I was going the right way and got trapped in a crevasse and fell 20 feet, breaking my ankle, tibia, fibula, and knee. I left in a helicopter.
The paramedics and doctors said that they see a LOT of injuries from this location, it's not just me, it's a pattern.
They need to either put up a lot of signs ON THE TRAIL guiding people away from the dangerous areas, or close it.

Difficulty: Depends on when you go. When it is dry it is a bit easier but after it rains, it becomes very slick since there's a lot of clay, once you get past all the sandstone, and becomes harder.
Is it worth it: No, it's just dangerous for the sake of being dangerous. When there is Blacks Beach Trailhead not too far away. One wrong mistake can lead to death.
