I purchased three cases of dates for my family in observance of Ramadan. Upon opening the boxes at home, I discovered that the product was spoiled, exhibiting extensive mold and a pronounced foul odor. The dates were clearly unfit for consumption. The products were stored appropriately in my home. After discovering the issue, I contacted your store and spoke with the manager. My primary intention was to alert you to this concerning product failure. However, the manager insisted the fault was mine, stating that the dates require specific refrigeration a claim inconsistent with the following facts: No Special Handling Instructions: The product packaging lacks any labeling or instructions indicating a need for refrigeration. In-Store Display Conditions: The dates were not refrigerated at your store; they were displayed on a standard, ambient-temperature shelf. For your reference, I have attached photographic and video evidence documenting the condition of the product and the packaging. It is my firm belief that the product was not merchantable at the time of sale. The manager's initial refusal to acknowledge this objective failure and the decision to shift responsibility to me, me as a customer, was deeply disappointing and constituted poor customer service. When I went to the store with the boxes and showed them to the manager, she did acknowledge the failure and apologized. She offered to refund the value or the purchase price, which I appreciated but initially refused because my intention was not to get my money back. In the climate of astronomical prices when shopping tazza's is a lifesaver! The staff are friendly. ( This Disheveled older woman freaked out because I was waiting for her to be done touching all of the jalapenos and raised her voice at me to come over and get some and stomp off, The produce Aisle attendant who puts all the new fruits and vegetables on the shelves apologized for her.) The parking lot is a little Tumultuous Mostly due to Tesla drivers taking up 2 spaces but other than that, It's a very relaxed place where you can get produce really really cheap. Also the cashiers go out of their way to make my daughter feel welcome.( I can't guarantee that everyone will have the same experience. not everybody's like me.) If you're relaxed and nice. I live in the neighborhood and was happy when they opened. The management has nice people except I had a bad experience in the meat section. There are 2 older gentlemen they are good at doing what they do. There is a young guy who is rude to customers in front of me and has anger issues. I have escalated to management many times and today is the day it shocked me. This guy threatened me to deal with me outside of the store just because I complained him to the management. Management has to look into this if customers are threatened like this and have a liability issues on their hand.
