I have been to this location a few times before I was able to also visit the Upland location. It has improved customer service wise since the last time I came. I have always dined in but this time decided to order togo. Placed an order on the phone pretty easy, and when I arrived my order was already ready.
Besides the Breakfast burrito (which is a must try if you haven’t) this time we decided to try some other items.
Chilaquiles- This basically reminds me of ordering super nachos from a Mexican restaurant, except with eggs on top. This was not bad of a dish, the only complaint I have is that one of the yolks broke and pretty much made the box soggy by the time I was able to eat it at home. I believe I would only order it next time dining in Griddled Veggie - My wife loved how this sandwich was, almost reminds us of a Philly cheesesteak but obviously veggie and a lot more healthier. Would definitely order this again in the future.
If you are also thinking about what other food is good, I like to mention that their country fried steak and loco moco are pretty good as well! They have espresso machine, and a huge menu.
UPDATE May 2024:
Even though my last review of this place was over 2 years ago, this is still a place that me and my wife would visit regularly. The food has always been consistent and it seems like they have worked out staffing where there is more people to make sure things run smoothly. The line can definitely get long so improving on this was great.
We recently have started trying some different dishes, and discovered their custom omelette and their Eggs Benedict. You get to choose 3 different ingredients you want inside the omelette and you get to have it with a side of your choice like salad or tater tots. Same thing with the Benedict you also get to have a side, and as always they have pretty generous portions. I always have to get an oat milk latte here, they definitely use a different type of oat milk then other places, it is quite smooth.
Just thought it would be a time to refresh my review, and I can happily say this place is consistent , and continues to bring a great experience each time.
Great to have a breakfast place...
Read moreWe ordered avocado toast, French toast, and eggs Florentine. They were a little slow getting one of our dishes out, which I know happens, but somehow our food came cold. From the first bite it just wasn’t warm at all.
Other than cold, the avocado toast did not have enough avocado especially for the price. Dunkin’ Donuts has better avocado toast for the price. The French toast was incredibly cold and drier than the Sahara desert during a drought. It also completely lacked flavor and the only redeeming quality was that if I poured enough syrup on it I couldn’t taste it and it made it somewhat less dry. I was more satisfied by the Wendy’s French toast sticks I had than these. Lastly the eggs Florentine can similarly be described as flavorless and cold. Half of the muffin was slightly toasted. Cold poached eggs are no fun. The potatoes were probably the only warm food we had, but once again they lacked flavor.
For the prices, they should absolutely be a full service restaurant. I felt like I was the server and busser. Their prices are on par with full service restaurants in the area without actually providing full service. Additionally despite the prices they provide everything in disposable containers. So for $16 French toast, you get plastic silverware and a paper plate.
I’ve been meaning to come here for awhile and I was super disappointed. I wouldn’t be so mad if the prices weren’t so incredibly high for...
Read moreLocation is nice, very clean, staff are helpful and get orders together quickly. Bacon is great, eggs are fine. Biscuits are awful. Biscuits are not supposed to be crunchy, these biscuits are more like scones than biscuits, on the heavy side, not light at all. And the gravy, fairly certain this is from a mix. Which is a bummer overall as I had figured a bakery might have outstanding biscuits, other baked items are very good. (Imagine they overwork the dough, and use the same flour for everything (need self rising, I know might have some objections to it entering the kitchen, though similarly if you want great oranges - you must fertilize the tree with steer manure, sometimes great things require things that ain't so great), taste okay, but with the gravy, super icky, which is odd because this is supposed to be a popular item. Mind you, from So. Cal, so not the expert on biscuits and gravy (southern dish, a staple breakfast item, made with easily obtained ingredients), but I have had amazing biscuits and gravy and these are icky. (Did I mention crunchy? Bleh) May return for other items in future, french toast is great and breakfast sandwich is really good (great job on those buns). Lots of parking, easy to get to. Parking, entrance, and counter...
