AAA San Francisco Richmond District Branch — Local services in San Francisco

On 2/18/2025 I went to AAA SF Clement Street Richmond District Office. I met my AAA assigned agent "Amy". I told her I wanted to update my auto insurance policy and I want to know about the Umbrella policy. First thing she told me to call the AAA toll free phone number to update my auto policy and other things. I asked her "Aren't you my assigned agent? I am sitting in front of you, if you cannot help your assigned customer, what kind of agent are you? I never had this kind of treatment from AAA." I told "Amy" you are "fire" and you are no longer my agent!! I brought this incident to the Office Manger "Maria" she promised me she will assigned a new agent to me. "Amy" is a low performer and no customer service at all !

So here's the thing. If you are dealing with DMV issues during COVID but you can't get an appointment (or the only appointment time is 6 weeks from now in West Hollywood, CA and you live in San Francisco, CA which was my case) this is where you want to go. I joined AAA today because it was simple and easy (and cheaper than a flight to LA for a "vacation" using my PTO at the DMV) and I spoke to people who are kind and caring.THANK YOU! Thank you for my same-day appointment. Thank you for knowing my name when I walked through the door, thank you for your short lines, and thank you for just being human. Sidebar, if I ever need a tow, I've already got that covered cus now...

An employee named Patrick helped me handle a complex chicken-and-egg problem around getting an unregistered car legal to drive, and I think Patrick might be the most competent person I've ever encountered in dealing with my car. He not only solved my problem, but also prevented other problems I hadn't even considered yet, and didn't waste a minute in doing so -- turned an initially terrible day into a routine paperwork task. Going to do all my DMV work at this AAA location...
