What happened to the balancing beams on the parcourse? And, what happened to the bars which little kids can hang onto on the parcourse? Those used to be our favorite stops, as little kids, on the parcourse, to exercise along with our parents.

  1. We used to pretend that we were walking/balancing on a tightrope at the circus on the 3 balancing beams (zero inches, 3 inches, and 6 inches above the ground). They helped with physical balance for the parents, which we are now. This entire setup/stop has been completely removed!

2).And, we use to pretend, as kids, that we were trapeze artists when we were hanging on the "low children's bars" stop on the parcourse, with our little feet on the ground. This entire setup and stop has been completely removed!

  1. The "high bars stop" for adults (see attached photo) are now too tall for little kids too without the lowered dangling handles. The handles were there for kids to hang onto at the adult-height bars stop on the parcourse. The lowered dangling handles were all removed or taken up higher too (see other attached photo)!

Where is the fun and imagination for the kids on the parcourse anymore, while also satisfying the adults' need to walk around and not just sit there, like slugs, at the playground all day.

There is hardly anything left to keep our own little kids occupied on the parcourse now....just one parcourse stop left (see other attached photo). The rest of the 4 stops on parcourse, for kids, were all removed.

Please add back these 3 stops, along the walking trail, for little kids to enjoy on the parcourse, so that this place goes back to truly being a great place to take kids. Or, think of other exercises, which both kids and adults can enjoy together.

There were 4 stops in total, with 3 removed, where the little kids could have fun too. Now, there is just one stop left to exercise along with our own kids. Parents need to play/exercise...

Outstanding playground, views, and nature:

Mountain Lake Park in San Francisco is a true hidden gem. Tucked away in the Presidio, it’s a perfect spot to escape the city’s hustle and bustle. The park’s highlight is definitely Mountain Lake, which offers beautiful views and a peaceful vibe. Walking around the lake on the well-kept trails is a great way to relax, and you might even spot some cool wildlife like birds and turtles.

For families, the playground is fantastic. It’s safe, fun, and keeps the kids entertained for hours. If you’re into sports, there are tennis courts too. One thing I really appreciate about this park is how clean and well-maintained it is, making every visit pleasant.

I love the tranquility. Despite being in the city, it feels like a quiet retreat. Whether you’re sitting by the lake, exploring the trails, or having a picnic, it’s a great place to unwind and enjoy nature.

A truly beautiful 2,000 year old natural lake, with trails and a children's playground, tennis courts, parcourse, and an ever expanding dog run area. As much as my cat loves the park, there are far too many dogs either off leash or on too long a leash, for her or your lunch to be truly safe. I'd love to see the day when they make a real fenced in dog area so everyone can use the park. There are bathrooms by 12th Ave. There are so many wonderful bird species, and the park is adjacent to The Presidio so there is plenty of space to explore, exercise, or scout out coyotes. Don't interact with them, but do know they are there and keep your pets safe on a short leash. Bring your camera. Parking is on the street; 2-4...

Lovely park. Spacious with slides, swings, and various climbing structures. My 10&12 yr old enjoyed the place - although they hooked up with other kids to play hide&seek in and around the playground. There is a toddler playground and an older kids side. Both side looks fun with lots of climbing apparatus. The playground surface is rubbery, bouncy, and safe for toddlers and those that are likely to tumble from time to time. It's clean. Huge plus! Wonderful foggy view of the lake today, but it's good to be outside watching the kids play. Playground is right by the toilets. There is a picnic table right next to the bathroom. It overlooks the playground.
