Arborist Now — Local services in San Francisco

UPDATE 11/2025: We've happily worked with Arborist Now again and just want to reiterate what a stellar job they do. This time around, we worked with Guillaume and his team. Everyone we had contact with was punctual, professional, and a pleasure to work with. They did an excellent job throughout, from explaining their recommendation to the pruning itself, and cleaning up afterward. I cannot recommend them enough to anyone with trees to care for! Arborist Now is the real deal, and your trees will thrive.

I cannot recommend George and his team at Arborist Now enough!

We have a beautiful large box elder maple in our backyard. It overhangs the house and we wanted to make sure it was healthy and not rubbing against our roofline. George came out to give us a quote and took the time to explain what care the box elder maple needed and why, plus give us care tips for a few of our smaller fruit trees, too. He clearly cares deeply about trees and has a wealth of knowledge about them, and it felt good to know that our trees would be pruned by an expert arborist, not just anybody with a chainsaw!

On the day of work, George and his team arrived promptly, went over their plan with us, and got straight to work. The box elder looks beautiful, and they were able to add one of the fruit trees to the pruning list even though we only asked them on the spot! They cleaned up after themselves and left the yard neat as a pin. We had string lights up around the backyard that they had to take down to prune, and they put those back up as well.

On top of all this, the price is right. If you have trees you love and want them properly cared for, hire George...

I have been working with this arborist Now for years and I have had nothing but exceptional services over the years here in San Francisco. Josh Johns is the person whom I met years ago and has been so kind and accommodating in getting appointments made and having the trees pruned yearly. He is consistent with everything he does and cares very much about the client needs. I have worked with his expert arborists, Jeremiah Cruz and Santos Meijia who are an unbelievably amazing team. They were able to prune the 5 trees (of which one was a holly tree, prickly and tall) within 4 hours, having left the yard with impeccably pruned trees. They cleaned it all up beautifully and as always, I am always so very impressed with their consistently excellent work and professionalism.

They deserve to hear this and more! I hope that those who work with Arborist Now, take care of Jeremiah and Santos. Never have I come across such hard-working and expert arborists.

I posted this on Yelp: I don't usually write reviews unless my experience exceeds expectations. I had Aborist Now complete a tree-trimming project at our commercial business in Brisbane which involved pruning overgrown trees primarily pine and acacia around the perimeter of the property. The overall process was seamless from my initial point of contact during the estimating stage working with Josh, scheduling, and completing the project as initially planned.

Josh was very professional and responsive to my many questions concerning the logistics and preparation. I had an issue working with the City of Brisbane on the traffic permit process to safety cone off one lane on the main street to trim a tree that overhung. Josh had a solution to avoid this permit and he instructed his team to be careful not to have branches fall into the traffic lane. His team was very hardworking and professional as well. They wore personal protective gear and their operating procedure was efficient.
