First time here I tried the loco moco. Fell in love with it in Oahu and it's basic I know but it helps me determine the restaurants success. It's delicious meat patties and eggs on a bed of rice, covered in gravy and paired with a side of mac salad. Simple yes, but you can tell a lot by the quality of the patties. The patties here are clearly ground meat hand formed in the back and seasoned well on the grill. The gravy, while not a kick in the face full of flavor, does do the job. Rice is not sticky or old. The egg was perfectly runny but unusually placed on top of the rice and not the beef. Maybe it was to not hide the showcased beef! Mac salad was dependable and delicious. All in all it's one of the best loco moco's I've ever had, outside of Hawaii, and it's way way better than something at one of the quick fast food like Hawaiian places because of the patties. Make the stop here for good food and you won't be disappointed.

Came here after getting coffee right next door at Hey Neighbor! Good: - No line, got my order taken right away - all the prices are so cheap comparatively! - Super nice staff, got a bbq chicken and mac and cheese 2 scoops instead of 1 rice and 1 mac and cheese - I loved the bbq chicken and how tender it was, the mac was also great and chilled - Lots of seating Bad: - Just a little janky of a place, truly a hidden gem Overall I'd come again to try another dish! I like how simple and fast it was to get my food.

Disappointing. Loco moco with the mac salad swam in a sauce that’s absolutely bland. Like 0 taste. Burgers were too dry and burnt. Service wasn’t great either. Also charged a credit card fee without telling me. I like Hawaiian food but will probably never come again. There’s nothing authentic about this place

I LOVE THIS PLACE TO EAT!!! I love the food like the macaroni salad included in your meal. The food is made fresh in the back. I'm a regular here and the boss knows me when I call and when I come in person. The bbq chicken meals and the rest of the menu items are really delicious. They dont take credit cards only cash. It's better to call ahead because they get really busy sometimes. You can also eat there its bright yellow inside which keeps you happy. There's muni transportation right out front. The 9, 9express and the 8 bus runs out front. There's several choices of food in the area but I'm team Hawaiian Drive In all the way. There's dipping sauce for the breaded meat and hot sauce for the bbq chicken plate. If you try it you will like it. There's no parking lot for this location. There's a lot next door but it's for the Asian restaurant next door. You will be towed if you park there. Street meter parking only nearby. Overall go eat there you wont be...

This is our favorite Hawaiian BBQ place. My kids love their Chicken Katsu & the sauce for it. It's crispy, the batter doesn't flake off easily & the meat is still tender & flavorful. We also like the BBQ chicken & spam musubi. Although recently, we got a spam musubi that didn't looked fresh because the spam color seemed off (pale grayish pink). Hopefully, this is just a one time thing. Their macaroni is better than others too but it's a bit heavy so we tend to replace it with more rice or fries instead. Service is friendly. Price & wait are reasonable. Restaurant is a bit dingy especially the restroom. We usually...
