Cardenas Markets — Local services in San Jose

Yesterday 10-16-2023, at approximately 4-6 pm, when trying to purchase some items in your store, at register number 2, a cashier with the name later known as “Aidee” who at that time just opened the same register she was being rude to customers in general.

My wife and I were in one of their stores, shopping when the lady opened register number 2 and we proceeded to go to pay, waiting in line there was a very old lady, the lady was trying to buy some items for her. -The cashier: she ran the items through the scanner and was overcharging him for those items. -The "senior lady" customer decently asked the cashier why she was charging her more than what she was carrying. Client: "Elderly lady" excuse me because you are charging me for the double item.?? Cashier: answers rudely in a haughty tone and with a bad face, that's the price I want or don't you want it? The client: "Elderly lady" answers yes, but it is only one piece, not two, are you charging me for two, why? The cashier: because that's the price and if you don't like it, then don't take it. !!! with a strong and rude tone. The lady: "Elderly customer answers calmly, disoriented, not knowing what to do, but I only have one because I don't need both and why should I pay you for two. the cashier: answers very rudely with an angry tone and seeing her in a bad way rude and angry to the customer that is the price "that is the price if you don't like it go to another store and buy it, you want it or you won't buy it want. the lady: client "elderly lady" patiently and calmly says no, thank you, I don't have to pay for two items when I only have one and I only need one. With a sad face, the lady, seeing that she was not going to be able to eat with those items, lowers her head and she leaves the store slowly and devastated by the treatment of the cashier. The same cashier was rude to us, to other people, not only is she rude, she is disrespectful, she is not careful when doing her job, she damages the things you are buying, she gets into other people's conversations and mistreats customers as it is possible that they would have her in that store working in customer service.

The cashier's name is Aidee and the saddest thing is that the supervisors observe her behavior the way how she its treating cardenas customers, becuase we are cardenas customer no the employee customer and the supervior observe how she its absolutly rude to customer, the abuse treatment to customers and allow it. without realizing that we clients are actually the ones who somehow pay their salaries. i have try to contact the corporate but no one answered on the number they provide. totally bad this incovenice. its very simple they do not like to been nice and politely to give customer services dont work there let some who can posible do better job work...

Interesting story about this place. If I would've rated it on my first visit it would of gotten five stars. I ordered a quesadilla, and I had probably the best quesadilla I've ever had! The guacamole in the quesadilla was almost an inch thick with tons of cheese and meat, it was incredible. Toasted perfectly. I swear it was incredible. So I live in the Santa Cruz area, and I go over the hill to pick up parts and things now and then especially from O'Reillys which is right next door practically, so for trip number two, I stop in and I'm like oh yes! I'm getting one of those quesadillas! So this time I'm going to take some pictures of them barbecuing the chicken and put them on Google maps, because that's what I like to do, and the cook behind the barbecue starts waving at me telling me NO pictures! NO pictures! And then he says it's against the law they don't allow it here. Now I'm pretty sure he's lying to me but I'm not really positive. So I go okay sorry I was just trying to give you some advertising for free. So I call the San Jose police and I asked them and of course they tell me know it's not against the law and can't think of any law that says you can take pictures of them cooking, it should be no big deal. So then I call the guy over and I tell him I just called the San Jose Police Department, and they said there is no law against taking pictures of your place at all. And I tell him if it's just that you don't want to be in the camera frame you could've just told me that because I wasn't taking his picture I was taking pictures of the chicken. I said instead you lied to me and now you don't get the good review I was going to give you. And he smiles and I pretends that he doesn't understand me I hate that when people do that, because three minutes before that he was speaking perfect English and he understood me perfectly, so okay that happened, now in between all this I pick up my quesadilla, and it was not the same quesadilla, they had ordered it from the Pueblo right next door from their restaurant and they cooked it up, and it was worthless, it went from being the best quesadilla I've ever had, to the worst quesadilla I've ever had, so I thought well maybe it was just an off day I'll try to come back when they're cooking right there. I've been back three more times since then, and every time there cooking them in the store, not on the outside where I've had my best one, so I don't know what the deal is, maybe there's certain times that they could cook them on their grill right behind the cash register, but I can't seem to get a handle on that, and after all these tries I'm giving up on the place. And I'm in search of another...

I dont know i go there because it is close to my house! I always buy my kids cakes from this store and let me tell you when you go and order your cake that you are PAYING, you get these rude workers helping you, they treat like they have better things to do other than help you and also this is the third time ( i don't know why i keep ordering my cakes from there still) i order a cake and let me tell you they never have any decorations available! Why have that book there to chose your cake decorations if when you want something specific they say they do not have it???? So i chose another decoration oh she said it was a sugar coated something and they didn't work with that!?? So like make me whatever cake you have than and on top of that i get attitude from the girl working there! It is a bakery you are supposed to have decorations available or get rid of that book you have there since i mean you have nothing available! Treat people nice they go and spend their money there, do not treat them like you are handing out free stuff! Get professional workers! I will just start going to Chavez...
