Given the reasonable price, perhaps this should be 3 stars. The problem I have is that the entrance has the ticket counter crushed up against it, sideways. That means that when you go to get into the theater, you have to determine if the people crammed in the doorway in front of you are people getting tickets or people buying food (or simply trying to get past the food to their cinema). Then you can make sure you get in the right line.... except there is no real line once you are at the door - just a cram. The food counter has to be passed to get to the entrance to the cinemas, and that means long lines for treats will interfere with simple transit to your movie. Finally, at the far end of the counter, there is plenty of open space that could have been used for the ticket counter, reducing the crush. My guess is that the management wanted to make sure people HAD to walk past the food to get to their movies, like candy in a grocery store line, or IKEA stores where you have to transit the whole store to get one item you...
Read moreWent to the theater this evening and was quite disappointed. The AC was on but at a temperature where I was sweating the entire movie and actually had to take out 3 credit cards to create a fan to fan myself. I understand the extreme heat outside warrants a little turning back, but I wasn't the only person in my party who was sweating. It was a 3 hr movie also, so it was quite the suffering. If I wasn't at the very end seat with no aisle to get out, I would've asked if they could adjust it a couple of degrees down. It's also tough watching a 3 hr movie with the non reclining seats. I might be getting spoiled by the other theaters, but it's something to consider when weighing the length of the movie with where you're going to watch it. I've always wanted to support the smaller theaters, but sometimes, it's not a logical choice. I'm no spring chicken anymore, so it makes...
Read moreCineLux? More like CineSux!!! Was on time for the movie (F1) but I missed the first 2 minutes because security made me run back to my car.
All the nearby parking spots are 1 hour only, so the nearest parking spot was far enough that I chose to skateboard to the theatre. And then the guard says they don't allow skateboards inside the building! What in the world???
If you're not going to allow skateboards in the theatre, you should allow people to checkin their skateboards with security at the door. Then you could charge 5 dollars and avoid getting a 1 star review.
This is an outrageous policy. I have never been to any business that did not allow skateboards. Seats are basically old style (but still big enough to fit a 42 inch skateboard under the seat... easily).
Projector and audio quality was...
