Hands down, probably the best taqueria in the Bay Area. The food is delicious and very affordable. It's one of the only places you can get a super burrito for under $10 right now. Plus, it's really delicious! I really like how their Carne Asada is prepared here. They actually grill it, not like a lot of places. So far, I've only had a Super Burrito, Giant Super Burrito, and Flour Quesadilla. Was perfect every time. Plus, if you dine in, you can have their fresh salsa in a big squirt bottle and keep it at your table while you eat. Just keep in mind that the red salsa can be very spicy.
Overall, I come here every time I'm in the area. Sometimes, there's a long line during the lunch rush, but it moves along very fast. I don't think I've waited longer than 5-10 minutes in line. The cooks prepare the food really fast too! I also like how they give you a discount when you pay in cash.
The only thing I would recommend is for them to remodel their parking area to accommodate more cars. Seems like a lot of large pickup trucks park here as well. The lot was full every time I came by. But, I'm usually lucky, so I get a spot fairly quick.
I'm definitely a...
Read moreI’ve been a repeat customer for 20+ years being raised in Willow Glen and have never had any complaints until today. I typically ask for my order for here and ask for 2 “to go” cups for salsa for my order with my children. TWO to go cups - only TWO! and they said they couldn’t give me any because I asked for my order “for here” and not to go. I explained I don’t like touching the salsa dispenser bottle (mainly because I’ve seen people enjoying their tacos licking their fingers and grab the bottle over and over again - so gross but understandable). The cashier said I still have to charge you for the cups. I understand if I asked for a lot but I asked for TWO - I even said you don’t have to give me lids I just want two cups. She refused so I asked for a refund which took her 5 minutes to do. I asked her in the middle if I can just get back the bill i gave her and she can figure out how to do the refund after but I don’t need to wait when she had the bill in her hand that I just handed her. What a ridiculous exchange over TWO cups. It’s actually hilarious. Ask for your order to go so you can grab...
Read moreThe restaurant preferred cash - additional cost if you paid by credit card. Stressful ordering at the lunch rush hour on Saturday because I wasn't familiar with the menu. Wanted a giant burrito asada and a giant burrito lengua but ended up with giant super burrito asada ($9.49++)and giant super burrito lengua($9.79++). I don't know if the cashier purposely added super at the time of the order. It's additional cost because super has sliced avocado. So, make sure you know what you want ahead of time, like what kind of meat, tortilla, and bean(whole or mashed). Carne asada and lengua are additional cost, as stated on the menu. The food was good. The salsa station has two options if salsa, the green and the red one.( It used to have diced onions, chopped cilantro, and cut limes, but no more) Parking can be challenging...
