I initially bought two fine jewelry necklaces for my daughters. My daughter then bought me a personalized bracelet for Mother’s Day. It had a very thin chain which broke in a week. I took it back and replaced it with another more expensive (almost twice the price) personalized bracelet, thinking it would be sturdier because of the thicker links. This was worse. It broke the very next day. I took this back and didn’t feel comfortable replacing it with yet another personalized bracelet which was the only option given to me. I wasn’t allowed a refund even though the bracelet didn’t work as it was supposed to. I.e., stay on the wrist! Now I’m left with a $109 store credit which I don’t want to spend on any of the personalized items as I feel they will just keep breaking and the trip to the store to replace it takes too much valuable time! I also don’t want to use the credit on anything else because the whole point of that bracelet was that it had a sentimental message on it. Any other item wouldn’t really convey the same meaning!!
If an item doesn’t work as intended most retail places offer a refund. But, not gorjana. They refund anything that is unused and in working order but not things that are faulty. How does that even make sense? I pay good money for a fully functioning item, not one that is defective. Basically, despite spending more money on an item, I lost out! I don’t want to hear excuses about the item being custom. So what?! IT. DOESN’T. WORK. AS. IT. SHOULD! Therefore, you should pay me back. How cheap can a retail store get? Customer service is tacky. Apart from finding a way to spend that store credit, I wont ever buy from this store again. Shame really, because my daughters love the expensive fine jewelry items I bought for them and were interested in some of the...
Read moreThis VF location used to be my go-to. Now, after my last few experiences I would rather make the longer trip to the WC or PA location where the sales associates are much nicer, welcoming and understanding. Don’t get me wrong not all the associates at VF were rude, just a couple in particular who seem to work the most hours. I’ve visited this VF location numerous times. Here are the issues I have: 4/5 times I go, the sales associates stand around and talk on their own. When one comes help the others stand there and gossip, make side comments. Extremely poor customer service and attitude. They do not understand the concept of customer satisfaction. During summer when I went at opening time, the associate is 20-30 minutes late to arrive to open the store. When I ask to try a jewelry piece to try on, they’re not very informative or knowledgable of the prices. Even though I have quite a few pieces from here, it is after doing research on my own and browsing at the other locations.
Hoping this location either teaches their current sales associate some etiquette or hire friendlier people.
TLDR; do NOT go to this location, go to the Walnut Creek or Palo Alto locations where the SAs are not snooty and instead put the customer first and make you...
Read moreMy niece lost her earrings so we came in browsing for some earrings that were secure for a teenager. We were immediately greeted by Fiona and Izzy who were both absolutely lovely.
Fiona was our primary sales person and gave us enough space to browse without hovering. We ended up buying two sets of earrings and a necklace. When I was having trouble deciding on what necklace and studs, Fiona and Izzy were so helpful.
I usually buy my fine jewelry from a Kendra Scott, but the prices are so much more affordable at Gorjana. I also love the expansion of selections lately.
We really enjoyed the entire shopping experience and will be back to buy more. THANK YOU FIONA AND IZZY! Management - please give...
