Make Me Holey is hands down my favorite piercing studio! Taryn and Payton always know exactly what I like, and everything they pick out for me is absolutely stunning. They know my tastes even better than I do. They’re both super enthusiastic about what they do, and it really shows in how they help me choose jewelry. They’re passionate about making sure I’m happy with my choices and have an amazing eye for curating pieces that fit my style perfectly. I usually come in with a vague idea of what I’m looking for, but when I try to describe it to Taryn and Payton, they somehow know exactly what I’m talking about and nail it.

Every time I make an appointment, I’m excited and look forward to getting my ears styled. I also see Alana when I’m there—she’s super friendly and knowledgeable, with a chill spirit that complements the atmosphere of the studio. Taryn’s passion is obvious, and Payton is always thoughtful and considerate with her jewelry choices. She’s got a great eye for details, like noticing if I have more textured pieces on one ear and figuring out what’s missing on the other.

Everyone here genuinely cares about their clients and how well our piercings are healing. Last year, I went a bit overboard with piercings at another studio that didn’t advise me to let my body rest. They allowed me to get 11 piercings in one year, which ended up being too much for my body to handle. The team at Make Me Holey has been incredibly patient and understanding, even though I had those piercings done elsewhere. Payton is a jewelry specialist who has great taste and helped me curate the most beautiful setup and custom ordered my dream jewelry. She's helping me restyle an old setup to refresh it and could not be happier (or be in better hands).

Taryn is an amazing body piercer and has done almost all of my 21 piercings. I always know that I am in the best of hands with her, she radiates calm and is so good that I literally can't tell that my piercing has happened and is over sometimes. She also happens to be maybe the nicest person ever.

Alana is another amazing piercer that corrected one of my first piercings and just did my most recent one. They introduced me to my love of gray diamonds and show me their most adorable pets. They are skilled and reassuring, I hold their opinions about my piercings in high regard.

Karissa is the owner of this studio and also a body piercer there. She is really warm and helps me make informed decisions in terms of anatomy and placement so I'm not wasting money or a poke!

Cody is another jewelry stylist there and while I have not had any services by him, I can say that he is out of this world friendly. Like, everyone in their neighborhood calls out greetings to him kind of friendly. Do you know anyone like that?

This studio understands that for a lot of people a piercing is a sacred experience. I have been a loyal client of years and they still all ask me if I'm ready and check in constantly to make sure I am comfortable and that I understand everything that is going to happen when I am ready. I feel welcomed and comfortable, nobody pushes me to buy anything and absolutely do not judge me for my budget ever. A lot of studios call themselves a "safe space" but this place really is and I'm grateful to have them so close to me.

Make Me Holey is all green flags for a professional piercing parlor front to back. I've been pierced by them multiple times already and every single time they never fail to answer all the questions I have and give thorough explanations for anything I ask. They're very patient and friendly when talking as well, and don't rush the process. I'm grateful for their appointment system because it means they will be focused specifically on only the people scheduled to come in and are never distracted by walk-ins, and I really appreciate it.

I would absolutely trust Karissa with any piercing because she was upfront and honest about saying no for some piercings based on my anatomy. I think it's a great sign of a responsible piercer because it really shows that they have the clients' healing processes in their best interest and want to make sure they're not setting us up for failure, or a making us have a hard time healing. Make Me Holey is also very honest about the material and make of each of their jewelry pieces and has a never-ending supply of high quality metals like 14k gold, implant grade titanium, and niobium.

They are extremely sterile, autoclave everything, always use new needles for each piercing, everything about their practice makes me feel assured that I'm receiving the best care. Cody and Taryn are also equally as great to talk to, and also have a lot of good advice and knowledge.

Karissa is also great at adapting to what her client needs to be comfortable; I'm the kind of person who gets nervous when I don't know absolutely everything that's happening when my body is getting modified, so Karissa made sure to tell me every step of the way what she was doing with the needle even if I couldn't see it.
