This place is Awesome. I was introduced to The Camp Transformation Center-San Jose by my wife, she took part in their very first challenge and has been a member since.
The San Jose location is perfect! The atmosphere at this facility is great! All the staff is really friendly; they go out of their way to help you learn the correct form and help achieve your maximum potential. By strictly following the directions (FTDI) I was able to lose 25.1 lbs!
The Camp Transformation Center (TCTC) has multiple locations as well. The corporate culture is definitely consistent -the franchise has ensured their core values are upheld.
The Camp Transformation Center is the best gym I have ever been to. I honestly feel it is not comparable- it's not the typical "gym", "boot camp" or copycat "transformation gym." The classes help push you to your maximum potential. The administration staff is honest, friendly and supportive. Most of them knew me by name just after the first two weeks! I have done a similar Challenge in the past and had good results. My but my only complaint was the Directors were always trying to selling you more supplements. At The camp San Jose NO one ever pushed me to buy supplements. Only gave suggestions and recommendations when asked. There was no pressure. This is something that I really appreciate! BTW the Cinnamon Protein they sell is Amazing! Chocolate and Vanilla are really good too. All of the supplements are great! I noticed a huge difference with the Gultamine, BCAAs and Pre-work out AM ...worked like magic to recover faster.
The staff "TEAM" is not there just because it's their job. You can easily tell they really care about their members! They are passionate about what they do! Read moreI am doing a 21 day challenge with The Camp Transformation Center - San Jose. I wanted to review my experience. The workouts itself are really good. There is a variety and focus on different body parts I have attended classes with 2 instructors in the last week - Mary Ann Ramirez & Marisol. Mary Ann Ramirez is awesome. Very motivating, focused, clear in communication. It's not easy to take classes on videos. I think she does an amazing job. The other instructor - Marisol is Okay and does not communicate well/ enough and has a very casually attitude. For some people that works, but some people might feel waste of time & money. FrontDesk/ Information desk - Before I signed up for the challenge, I saw quick responses. After I joined the session, I dont see great response on facebook or emails. I cannot book my classes on the MindBody app - I see no response. I call them and the front desk person is new and does not have enough information. She figures what I should do - I try and it still does not workout, so the front desk person purposes that she can book the class for me. I ask her to book the zoom session at 8am. She agrees to do that and send the details in email. I dont see the classes details. FrontDesk responds to my original email - of not being able to book classes- with the workaround what we discussed on Phone which dint work for me. I hate this experience. I am somehow following the facebook page and doing some workouts.
Overall: It is good program, if they are resolve some of the outstanding issues mentioned- it can be be great. I understand it is tough times and co-ordinating, taking classes on video can be challenges, but given that we dont know when COVID is ending, we might also want to get used to dealing with stuff...
Read moreAt 50, losing weight had gotten really difficult. I changed my diet for six months and lost zero pounds. I started walking and lost 25, but then hit a plateau and didn’t lose for 2 months. Then I saw a Facebook ad for The Camp and an upcoming 6-week 20 pound challenge. I was desperate and thought clearly they knew something I didn’t. I came in for an orientation and the staff was super friendly and encouraging. I was given nutrition guidelines that though aren’t always easy to follow, made me really think about the foods, amounts and times that I ate. The workouts are amazing! I’ve gone to lots of gyms in the past, but this gym is totally different. The temperature of the gym is cool, which I love. The trainers are encouraging, friendly and fun and give us great workouts. The classes give me the structure I need to a workout. I can tell a difference in my strength and endurance every week. The music is loud and songs I have on my own playlist. There is a feeling of community and support among the members. Not the posers and jerks you find in a lot of traditional gyms.
