If your sweet-tooth could use a serious reboot, then, here's the kit for you. It's called simply, 'The Mud Pie.' Ahhhhh come on . . . it's gotta have a name more fitting than that! And, I just found out, it's technically set up to feed 4 people. And they tell me this after I eat it . . . or, almost eat it, or, shall I say, desperately making that attempt - as if I would not become a member of the 'Mud' Pie' (in your eye), society. I'm sure I was having a little bit of a discolored appearance, as I was down to taking smaller and smaller pieces into a mouth that was saying, NO! Uh, Uh! It's just that it was so big, and, believe me if you attempt this chocolate challenge on a stomach that's not completely empty, it's going to seem . . really bigger. So, while we're on this descriptive note, I think the name would be so amply put as . . . 'The North Face.' And yet, if you turn it around, it will be equally challenging, as 'The South Face.' But, whatever side you choose, the result will be the same. And yet, in my desperation to finish it, I did leave the very bottom section, which was composed of a heavy stringent fudge, attached to a cookie crumb base. I mean . . . I just couldn't. And so, I must conclude, that this kit, has to be accompanied with either a hot cup of coffee, or, an ice cold glass of water, or, preferably both. Which incidentally, I liked the light plastic glass. Nice touch! Let me just add, that this monstrosity, is sure to eclipse a level of 8 inches high. Topped no less with a dash of whip cream, and, a maraskino cherry. I think this desert would be a great surprise for the birthday girl or guy. Don't tell them what the desert surprise is, and just order it. Maybe, the waiter, or waitress, could stick a candle in it and call it anything but macaroni. All this, I had at the 'Red Robin,' restaurant, which features also, a separate bar area, with sport's television, and, adjoining tables & chairs, nicely done up, and, with booths as well. The restaurant, is primarily, a burger & fries, oriented dining facility, but also provides some interesting salads, and, pizza ensembles as well. Prices start at basically $10, with the Red's Tavern Double, and, top out at about $19, for the large 14 inch pizza. The Red Robin, has a very partying atmosphere. A little chaotic and loose, but, where else, can you let your hair down, and, just have a good-ol, rocking-robin, good time! The Red Robin Restaurant & Bar, is located on the south side of the mall - next to Penny's - or, more specifically at 2200 Eastridge Loop, San...

Visiting Red Robin in San Jose is like stepping into a delightful bubble of nostalgia and good food. As a long-standing favorite, my recent visit with a dear friend rekindled old memories and added new ones.
Our order consisted of the classic onion rings, garlic fries, and their signature burgers. The onion rings were crisp and perfectly golden, served hot and with a satisfying crunch. The garlic fries were a standout - flavorful and aromatic, with just the right amount of garlic punch that didn't overpower.
The star of our meal, however, was the burger. Juicy, well-seasoned, and packed with fresh ingredients, it was an embodiment of what a great burger should be. The portion sizes were generous, and every bite was a reminder of why Red Robin has been our go-to place for burgers.
One cannot review Red Robin without mentioning the warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring our dining experience was smooth and enjoyable. Their service, coupled with the restaurant's lively ambiance, made our visit all the more special.
Red Robin in San Jose is more than just a restaurant; it's a treasure trove of fond memories and exceptional meals. The combination of their delicious food, excellent service, and the nostalgic vibes make it a place that always feels like coming home. If you're looking for a place to reconnect with old friends over a great meal, Red Robin is the place to be. I highly recommend it and look forward to many more memorable...
Read moreTldr: Service staff - 15/10 - all of them work hard as heck to keep the place afloat. Remember, they never cooked your food....
Who cooked it? Obviously Chef - 6.5/10, doesn't seem to pay much attention. But could be Friday.
As for the Manager - ???/??? - never saw a trace but that's probably a good thing.
This is an unbalanced review as it is related more to the backend food issue than the frontend service. If the waiters/waitresses weren't so wonderful, I would give a 1 star review in full.
I came here with a friend, they ordered their burger rare and mine was well done (I get nausea & indigestion at medium med-rare, and rare so I asked for it to be cooked thoroughly 5 min after the burgers came out, I noticed a bit of nausea. My partner glanced at mine and the one they received, noticed they were not only swapped (they received well done) but also that my "southern charm burger" didn't have BBQ sauce.
To be honest, the mixup only prompted this review due to the undercooked food on my end. Eating the whole thing, while fine for 60-80% of people, probably would've caused immediate vomiting. Luckily I only had a third.... Again it was not the fault of the waiter/waitress. They made sure to repeat my order back to me. Perhaps the chef is just tired since it's a Friday...
Thank you again to all the hardworking staff taking time out of their day while still being pleasant...
