Target — Local services in San Juan Capistrano

I come here quite often as it’s a peaceful store location & I find everything I need almost all of the time but recently I’ve been having several unpleasant experiences in regards with a few of the ladies working there… For starters, the short, brown long haired young lady who I believe goes by Sam has been giving me & other shopping customers dirty looks left & right and when she’s not doing that, she’s distracted on her phone and not paying attention to anyone or anything else. I’m not trying to put down anyone here as I always consider that maybe the worker is having a bad day…I myself have worked retail for over 10 years too so I try to understand their position but it has happened to me several times.. I really don’t know why she would choose a retail job while knowing she is an ugly rude person towards others. There’s another young lady in which also works alongside Sam I believe that is also constantly distracted on her phone & recording herself as well as in a few other instances, I’ve caught her AND Sam recording customers then following it with loud giggles. I have not said anything or reported anything until now. What really pushed me to write this review was what I witnessed yesterday. There were at least 3 of your workers, 2 young males & 1 older female that were visibly struggling to attend/help the busy crowd of customers and could've definitely used the hand of an extra 2 people. Well, as I look around to see if there was any other employee coming to help in the rush, I spotted the 2 same girls in which I mentioned earlier recording themselves and singing along to music by the guest service cash registers. I understand how work can be exhausting, boring, and difficult, but constantly doing that especially on a busy rush hour… not good. At all. I was already in a state of vulnerability due to personal reasons but seeing that genuinely upset me. I don’t think I’ll be continuing to visit as it isn’t just those 2 young ladies causing bad experiences for me recently and possibly others, I have seen other employees do similar things but not as often as Sam and the young friend that usually works up front. I do appreciate the group of workers that I usually see early mornings working hard and doing their job properly. Taren was also always extremely helpful & carries a beautiful welcoming aura. Go her! :) But going back to the irresponsible employees…I’m sure there’s something you guys can do to prevent any of this from happening in the store again but until then, my statement...

The worst target I've ever been too. Usually only the self checkout is available. People are standing around and are not helpful. My last interaction here was when I pulled up for our drive up order. There were no spots available so we parked nearby and turned on our hazards (like the app said). We waited for 10-15 minutes. Eventually I went inside and 3 employees were chatting it up with our order right next to them. Their reply was that they didn't see our car in the drive up spot. Well of course not. Half of the spots were taken up by people that were shopping in the store. The employee just giggled and said, "yeah it's a problem here. We try telling people not to park there, but they do it anyway". There are targets in the area that are run better than this one. Save yourself...

It’s a small “City Target”… So it’s inventory is limited, as expected. It is what it is. However, Check-out is a mess. 4 normal registers that are almost never open, only 4 self check-out kiosks that are always full. Hey management, if you’re going to force people to use self check-out, then you need to convert some of the unused registers to self check-out. It’s evident to everyone checking out that the set up is a mess. You can see the frustration on people’s faces when they’re checking out. Do something about...
