Pizza Amore Cafe — Restaurant in San Juan Capistrano

NYC Café used to be one of my favorite cafe's. This is no longer the case. I work in a very busy office. We placed an order to be delivered. Sandwich orders were placed with specific instructions. Like extra olives, no onions, no mustard, etc. The order was repeated back for clarification. Perfect! I thought. Approximately 40 minutes later we received our order. Tipped the driver and signed the receipt. One of the ladies went to eat her sandwich and it had mustard on it. We had requested NO mustard. A little frustrating, but mistakes happen. I called NYC café to request a sandwich be made correctly and brought to us. The lady on the phone rudely said, "We can make another sandwich and you can come and pick it up," OR "I can credit your account. She proceeded to say rudely, "Wrap up the sandwich we delivered, give it to the driver, we want that sandwich back!" I was shocked! I asked her if she was serious? She said "Yes!" I told her to remake the sandwich and please deliver it like it should have been done the first time. I told her we do a lot of business with NYC Café but that will no longer be the case. We will no longer be doing business with NYC Café. They could use a class in customer relations. You build your business by treating your customers with care and respect. Those returning customers are the ones that allow you to have a job and build your business. Not happy with the tuna sandwich either. Their white fresh delicious tuna has become brown and disgusting. Whatever has changed with NYC Café I urge you to reconsider going back to what worked in the past. If I could give ZERO stars that is what I would post, but 1 star is the least a...

Me and my girlfriend decided to get food after the beach and she recommended this place. We came and noticed that we were the only customers eating in (other customers were coming in to pickup). The inside of the restaurant was decorated beautifully, it had a romantic atmosphere and had pretty pictures hanging on the walls. My favorite picture was one that had the godfather, scarface, and goodfellas on it. I mean what a cool picture! We ordered hawaiian and greek pizza, both of which were really great. For how pretty the inside of the restaurant was and how great the pizza is, me and my girlfriend were disappointed that the restaurant didn’t have more customers eating in. Even better than that we were able to witness how awesome the owner is! A lady came into the store to pickup a pizza and unfortunately her payment method wasn’t working. The owner was the one helping her out at the register, and he took it upon himself to tell her to take the pizza home and just give him a call to somehow fix whatever error had occurred with the payment. The lady was able to take her pizza home despite her payment not working and I’m sure they worked that out, she was very polite and seemed genuinely thankful for the owner’s kindness. I recently discovered Pizza Amore Cafe in San Juan Capistrano, and it’s an absolute gem! The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. 

The menu offers a delightful variety of Italian dishes, and everything I’ve tried has been delicious. The pizzas are a standout—crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients and baked to perfection. I particularly enjoyed the San Juan Ranch Pizza; the combination of garlic sauce, grilled chicken, artichokes, and fresh tomatoes was both unique and flavorful. The crust had a perfect balance of crispiness and chewiness, and the toppings were generous and well-balanced. 

Beyond the food, the cafe’s commitment to quality is evident. They offer gluten-free and cauliflower crust options, catering to various dietary preferences. The ingredients are fresh, and you can taste the difference in every bite.
